Soline-6 Eye Ointment 3Gm is indicated in the temporary relief of corneal oedema. It may also be used for irrigation of the eye as required, including removal of harmful substances and first aid. Corneal oedema, also called corneal swelling, is a condition caused by the build-up of fluid in the cornea.
 
Soline-6 Eye Ointment 3Gm contains Sodium chloride that works by drawing fluid out of the cornea. Thereby, Soline-6 Eye Ointment 3Gm helps reduce swelling and may lessen irritation or eye discomfort caused by swelling.
 
In some cases, Soline-6 Eye Ointment 3Gm may cause side effects such as a burning sensation, redness, eye discomfort, and temporary blurred vision. Most of these side effects do not require medical attention and will resolve gradually over time. However, you are advised to talk to your doctor if the side effects persist or worsen.
 
Consult your doctor if you are pregnant or breastfeeding before using Soline-6 Eye Ointment 3Gm. Avoid touching the tip of the container as it may contaminate the contents. Soline-6 Eye Ointment 3Gm may cause temporary blurred vision; drive only if you have clear vision. Do not use Soline-6 Eye Ointment 3Gm if you are allergic to any of its components. Consult your doctor if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. Inform your doctor if you have hurt your eye, if you have developed an eye infection, or if you are due to undergo eye surgery. Check with your doctor if your condition does not improve despite using Soline-6 Eye Ointment 3Gm for three days or if it worsens if you experience changes in vision, eye pain, continued redness or irritation. Let your doctor know if you are taking other prescription/non-prescription medicines, herbal or vitamin/mineral supplements.

• Wash your hands regularly. Avoid touching the eyes with dirty hands. 
• Always use clean towels or tissues to wipe your eyes and face.
• If you wear contact lenses: Clean and replace contact lenses more often. Never share contact lenses. Always remember to wash your hands prior to inserting the contact lens. 
• Avoid staring at digital screens for longer durations. Rest your eyes every 20 minutes.
• Blink regularly as it helps in the spread of hydrating substances such as mucus and tears across the eyes.
