Speucid Forte Tablet 10's

Speucid Forte Tablet belongs to a class of drugs called gastrointestinal agents used to treat stomach pain and heartburn due to acidity. Also, Speucid Forte Tablet relieves spasms, discomfort, cramps, and bloating. Stomach pain is the pain that occurs between the pelvic regions and the chest. It may be caused due to acid reflux, constipation, diarrhoea, infection or intestinal disorders.

Speucid Forte Tablet is a combination of four drugs, namely: Dicyclomine (antispasmodic), Magaldrate (antacid), Oxethazaine (local anaesthetic) and simethicone (anti-foaming agent). Dicyclomine works by relaxing the muscles in the walls of the intestine and provides relief from painful muscle spasms. Thus, it reduces stomach pain caused by spasms, cramps, gas formation, bloating, and discomfort. Magaldrate works by neutralizing excess acid in the stomach. Oxethazaine is a local anaesthetic that exerts a numbing effect and relieves pain due to acidic injury or ulcers in the stomach. Simethicone is an antifoaming agent that works by combining smaller gas bubbles that may get trapped among stomach contents into larger bubbles that are easily expelled by passing wind or burping.  Thereby, it helps in releasing gas.

Take Speucid Forte Tablet as prescribed by your doctor. You are advised to take Speucid Forte Tablet for as long as your doctor has prescribed it for you based on your medical condition. In some cases, you may experience drowsiness, dizziness, nervousness, weakness, dry mouth, constipation, bad taste in the mouth, nausea or diarrhoea. Most of these side effects of Speucid Forte Tablet do not require medical attention and gradually resolve over time. However, if the side effects persist or worsen, please consult your doctor.

If you are known to be allergic to Speucid Forte Tablet or any other medicines, please tell your doctor. Speucid Forte Tablet is not recommended for children unless prescribed by a doctor. If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, please consult a doctor before taking Speucid Forte Tablet . You are recommended to avoid the consumption of alcohol with Speucid Forte Tablet as it may increase drowsiness or dizziness. Please do not stop taking Speucid Forte Tablet on your own as it may cause recurring symptoms. Drive only if you are alert as Speucid Forte Tablet may cause drowsiness, dizziness or blurred vision.

Drink plenty of fluids while taking Speucid Forte Tablet to protect yourself from being dehydrated or overheated during exercise and in hot weather as Speucid Forte Tablet decreases sweating and increases the risk of heatstroke.

• Eat smaller meals more often.
• Avoid smoking and alcohol consumption.
• Maintain a healthy weight by exercising regularly.
• Avoid carbonated and caffeinated beverages.
• Practice relaxation techniques and avoid stress by doing yoga or meditation.
• Avoid foods such as high-fat food, spicy food, chocolates, citrus fruits, pineapple, tomato, onion, garlic, tea and soda.
• Avoid deep-fried and spicy foods.
• Foods containing probiotics may help in providing relief from gas and bloating.

Symptoms include heartburn, sour or bitter taste in the mouth, and difficulty swallowing. Bloating occurs when the abdomen is filled with gas or air.
