About Sumaself 6 mg Injection 0.5 ml

Sumaself 6 mg Injection 0.5 ml belongs to a class of medicines called selective serotonin receptor agonists primarily used to treat acute migraine headaches with or without aura and acute cluster headaches in adults. Aura is a phase before the start of a migraine headache that involves numbness and speech or vision disorders. Migraine is a common disorder associated with multiple symptoms but frequently causes headache of varying intensity, usually along with nausea and sensitivity to light and sound.

Sumaself 6 mg Injection 0.5 ml contains Sumatriptan that, constricts blood vessels in the brain, prevents pain signals from reaching the brain, and inhibits the release of certain natural substances that cause pain, nausea, and other migraine or cluster headache symptoms. Sumatriptan does not prevent migraine headaches.

Sumaself 6 mg Injection 0.5 ml will be administered by a healthcare professional; do not self-administer. In some cases, you may experience redness or pain at the injection site, dizziness, tingling or numbness in fingers or toes, stiffness or discomfort in the neck, flushing (hot, warm, burning feeling to face), feeling drowsy, weak, or tired. Most of these side effects do not require medical attention and gradually resolve over time. However, if the side effects persist or worsen, please consult your doctor.

Please tell your doctor if you are allergic to latex, Sumatriptan, or other medicines. Sumaself 6 mg Injection 0.5 ml is not recommended for children below 18 years of age as the safety and effectiveness were not established. Please inform your doctor before taking Sumaself 6 mg Injection 0.5 ml if you are pregnant, planning for pregnancy, or are breastfeeding. You are recommended to avoid alcohol consumption as it may worsen headaches. Drive only if you are alert, as Sumaself 6 mg Injection 0.5 ml may cause dizziness, weakness, or drowsiness.
