Symoxyl 250 mg Capsule 6's belongs to a group of anti-bacterial or antibiotics known as penicillin. Symoxyl 250 mg Capsule 6's is used to prevent and treat different types of bacterial infections like chest infections (pneumonia, bronchitis), ear/nose/throat (ENT) infections, urinary tract infections, skin infections, leg ulcers, gum ulcers, and dental infections, and pressure sores. Besides this, it is also used with various antibiotics like clarithromycin to treat stomach ulcers caused by H. Pyroli bacteria.

Symoxyl 250 mg Capsule 6's has a similar method of killing bacteria as penicillin. Symoxyl 250 mg Capsule 6's kills the bacterial cell by blocking the chemical (mucopeptides) released by the bacteria's outer layer (cell wall). In turn, Symoxyl 250 mg Capsule 6's weakens and destroys the bacterial cell wall. It is a broad range of antibiotics that helps in fighting various types of bacteria.

Symoxyl 250 mg Capsule 6's is available in oral tablets, capsules and syrup dosage forms. You should take the syrup form of Symoxyl 250 mg Capsule 6's as your doctor advises. How does the disease interact with Symoxyl 250 mg Capsule:
Nearly all antibacterial medications have been associated with Clostridioides difficile-associated diarrhoea (CDAD), formerly known as pseudomembranous colitis, which can range in severity from mild diarrhoea to deadly colitis. Lincomycin and clindamycin are typically to blame. Antibacterial treatment disrupts the colon's normal flora, promoting the growth of C. difficile, whose toxins A and B contribute to the emergence of CDAD.

How to manage the interaction:
Symoxyl 250 mg Capsule should be used with caution in patients with a history of gastrointestinal disease, particularly colitis (inflammation in the large intestine) and pseudomembranous colitis (generally characterized by severe, persistent diarrhoea and severe abdominal cramps and sometimes associated with the passage of blood and mucus).
