About TAMIGEN S EYE/EAR DROPS 5ML

TAMIGEN S EYE/EAR DROPS 5ML is a combination of a corticosteroid and an antibiotic that is used to treat eye and ear bacterial infections. Bacterial infection occurs when bacteria invade and multiply in the body. 

TAMIGEN S EYE/EAR DROPS 5ML contains Dexamethasone and Gentamicin. Dexamethasone belongs to the class of corticosteroids. It blocks the production of prostaglandins (chemical messengers) that make the affected area red, swollen, and itchy. Gentamicin is an aminoglycoside antibiotic that prevents the synthesis of essential proteins required by bacteria to carry out vital functions.

Your doctor will advise the appropriate dose that suits your infection. TAMIGEN S EYE/EAR DROPS 5ML is for external use only. When used as eye drops, common side effects of TAMIGEN S EYE/EAR DROPS 5ML include irritation, redness, burning or a stinging sensation, and temporary blurred vision. Directions for Use

Eye drops: Tilt your head back and pull your lower eyelid downwards and outwards. Gently squeeze the dropper and put the eye drops inside the eye/eyes. Blink a few times to spread the medication inside your eye. Ear drops: Do not touch the dropper; hold it close to the ear by tilting your head to the side. Gently squeeze the dropper and put the ear drops inside the ear. Keep your head tilted for a minute to let the drops soak in.
