About Telista MT 50 Tablet

Telista MT 50 Tablet belongs to the class antihypertensive agents used to treat hypertension (high blood pressure). It may also be used to lower the risk of heart attack and stroke in future. High blood pressure is a condition in which the force of the blood against the artery walls is too high leading to hypertension. Symptoms of high blood pressure include headache, dizziness, nose bleed, changes in vision, chest pain, weakness and dyspnoea (shortness of breath).

Telista MT 50 Tablet is a combination of two high blood pressure-lowering medicines: Telmisartan and Metoprolol. Telmisartan belongs to the class of drugs called Angiotensin II receptor antagonists that works by blocking the angiotensin II receptor, relaxing the blood vessels and lowering the blood pressure. Metoprolol belongs to the class of drugs known as beta-blockers which reduces blood pressure by allowing the blood to flow more smoothly. Together, Telista MT 50 Tablet helps in reducing the raised blood pressure.

Take Telista MT 50 Tablet as prescribed. You are advised to take Telista MT 50 Tablet for as long as your doctor has prescribed it for you, depending on your medical condition. In some cases, you may experience certain common side effects such as headache, nausea, dizziness, weakness, stomach pain, and slow heart rate. Most of these side effects do not require medical attention and will resolve gradually over time. However, you are advised to talk to your doctor if you experience these side effects persistently.

To treat your condition effectually, continue taking Telista MT 50 Tablet for as long as your doctor has prescribed it. Try not to stop taking it on your own as it may cause a sudden increase the blood pressure, chest pain or heart attack. Consult your doctor before starting Telista MT 50 Tablet if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. Telista MT 50 Tablet may cause dizziness, so drive only if you are alert. Avoid alcohol consumption with Telista MT 50 Tablet as it may cause increased dizziness. Keep your doctor informed about your health condition and medications to rule out any interactions.
