About Ten Dc-M 500mg Tablet 10's

Ten Dc-M 500mg Tablet 10's belongs to the group of medications called 'antidiabetic agents' used to treat type 2 diabetes mellitus. Type-2 diabetes mellitus is also known as non-insulin-dependent diabetes or adult-onset diabetes. It is a medical condition in which blood glucose levels are above normal due to insulin deficiency, insulin resistance, or both.

Ten Dc-M 500mg Tablet 10's is a combination of two medicines, namely: Teneligliptin and Metformin hydrochloride. Teneligliptin works by stopping the action of the dipeptidyl peptidase-4 enzyme, which in turn increases the insulin levels in the body and reduces the glucagon levels. Metformin hydrochloride acts by decreasing liver glucose production and intestinal glucose uptake. Together, Ten Dc-M 500mg Tablet 10's helps control blood sugar levels.

Take Ten Dc-M 500mg Tablet 10's as prescribed. You are advised to take Ten Dc-M 500mg Tablet 10's for as long as your doctor has prescribed it for you, depending on your medical condition. In some cases, Ten Dc-M 500mg Tablet 10's may cause side effects such as nausea, constipation, abdominal pain, bloating, loss of appetite, and diarrhoea. Most of these side effects do not require medical attention and will resolve gradually over time. However, you are advised to consult your doctor if you experience these side effects persistently.

Do not take Ten Dc-M 500mg Tablet 10's if you are allergic to any of its contents. Do not use this medicine if you have heart failure, bladder cancer, or diabetic ketoacidosis (a complication of diabetes). Ten Dc-M 500mg Tablet 10's may cause 'lactic acidosis' (accumulation of lactic acid in the blood), which requires immediate medical attention. The risk increases if you are previously diagnosed with kidney or liver diseases. Do not consume alcohol or fast for prolonged periods. Also, inform your doctor if you are pregnant, planning to become pregnant, or breastfeeding.
