Tendocis Tablet belongs to a group of medicines called 'nutritional supplements' used to treat joint problems. Tendocis Tablet is recommended for the maintenance of joints, muscles, cartilage, the integrity of joints, bone health, joint pain, arthritic pain, stiffness, low back pain, tendonitis or tendinopathy (tendon pain). Joint pain refers to the discomfort, pain, stiffness and soreness in the joints.
Tendocis Tablet contains Collagen, Sodium hyaluronate, Chondroitin sulphate, and Ascorbic acid. Collagen helps regenerate cartilage, thereby providing strength to the bones and improving joints' flexibility. Sodium hyaluronate is similar to the joints' fluid; this acts as a lubricant in the joints and prevents friction between the joints. Chondroitin sulphate prevents the breakdown of collagen tissue of the joints. Ascorbic acid (Vitamin C) acts as an antioxidant that helps the synthesis of new collagen fibres, new blood vessel formation and promotes healing at the joint site. Together, Tendocis Tablet relieve pain and stiffness in the joints.

Tendocis Tablet is a combination of four drugs, namely: Collagen, Sodium hyaluronate, Chondroitin sulphate, and Ascorbic acid. Tendocis Tablet belongs to a group of medicines called nutritional supplements used to treat joint pain. Tendocis Tablet is recommended for the maintenance of joints, muscles, cartilage, the integrity of joints, bone health, joint pain, arthritic pain, stiffness, low back pain, osteoarthritis, tendonitis or tendinopathy (tendon pain). Collagen helps in the synthesis of new tendon fibre extracellular tissue that maintains the health of tendons. Sodium hyaluronate helps in cross-linking of the collagen fibres within themselves, and with chondroitin sulphate, this helps in offering maximum tensile strength. It also lowers the adhesion between the tendon sheaths, thereby promoting the gliding of tendons freely over the bones while healing. Chondroitin sulphate helps in reinforcing the collagen-chondroitin association cross-links and prevents the breakdown of collagen. Ascorbic acid helps in synthesising new collagen fibres, new blood vessel formation and promotes healing. Together, Tendocis Tablet helps in providing relief from pain and stiffness in the joints.
Do not take Tendocis Tablet if you are allergic to any of its contents. Inform your doctor if you have impaired kidney or liver function, high blood pressure, heart problems, asthma, or diabetes. Consult a doctor if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. Tendocis Tablet is not recommended for children below 12 years of age, as its safety and effectiveness have not been established. Do not take any other medicines for pain relief along with Tendocis Tablet unless prescribed.
Drug-Drug Interactions: Tendocis Tablet may interact with blood thinner or anti-coagulant (anisindione, dicumarol, warfarin), and antiseptic (benzalkonium chloride, cetylpyridinium).
Drug-Food Interactions: No interactions found/established.
Drug-Disease Interactions: Inform your doctor if you have haemolysis (the breakdown of red blood cells), kidney stones, dialysis, or high blood pressure.
Joint pain: Joint pain is a physical discomfort that occurs where two or more bones meet. It refers to the discomfort, pain, stiffness and soreness in the joints. Arthritis is a common cause of joint pain. Other reasons include a past injury such as torn cartilage, dislocated joints and ligament injuries. Joint pain occurs when the two ends of the joints come together due to the breakdown of a protective covering of cartilage. Due to the absence of this protective covering, the joints rub against each other, leading to pain and stiffness. Symptoms include pain, stiffness, inflammation and tenderness.

Pain killers relieve pain by blocking the pain signals but do not correct the basic problem such as degeneration of the joints. Tendocis Tablet contains collagen, which is the main building protein in bone, cartilage, and other connective tissues. Sodium hyaluronate and chondroitin sulphate help in reducing inflammation. Ascorbic acid has an antioxidant property which is required by the body to make collagen. Together, Tendocis Tablet helps in healing the joints and also provides relief from pain.
Tendocis Tablet is used to reduce and relieve pain and inflammation associated with osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis and ankylosing spondylitis. Arthritis is the tenderness and swelling in the joints.
Tendocis Tablet is used to treat tendon pain in tendonitis and tendinopathy. Tendonitis or tendinopathy occurs due to repetitive mechanical load on the tendons leading to degeneration and inflammation of tendons, often due to athletic activities.
Diarrhoea might be a side-effect of Tendocis Tablet . Drink plenty of fluids to prevent dehydration if you experience diarrhoea. If you find blood in stools (tarry stools) or if you experience severe diarrhoea, consult your doctor. Do not take anti-diarrheal medicine on your own.
