About Terbimax-F Lotion

Terbimax-F Lotion is a corticosteroid medicine used to treat various skin conditions. It is used in the treatment of fungal skin infections such as ringworm infection, jock itch, tinea versicolor (lightening or darkening of the skin of the neck, chest, arms, or legs) and athlete’s foot. Fungal infection is a skin disease in which a fungus attacks the tissue and causes infection. Fungal infections may be contagious (spread from one person to another).

Terbimax-F Lotion is a combination medicine containing Fluticasone (corticosteroid) and Terbinafine (antifungal). Fluticasone helps reduce inflammation by acting on the immune system. It reduces the release of certain chemicals that cause inflammation. Terbinafine works by inhibiting the fungal cell membranes, which are essential for their survival as they prevent the entry of unwanted substances into the cells and stop the leakage of cell contents. Thereby, kills fungi and clears the fungal infection.

Terbimax-F Lotion may cause certain side effects, such as itching, dryness, redness, and a burning sensation at the application site. These side effects are temporary and gradually resolve over time. If these side effects persist, please consult your doctor. Terbimax-F Lotion is an external topical preparation. Do not use more than the recommended dose of medicine. Your physician will decide the dose of the medicine based on the condition.

Terbimax-F Lotion should be avoided if you are allergic to it. Please do not use it more often or for a longer time than your doctor prescribed, and also, do not stop the medication abruptly. Notify your doctor if you have any other skin infections or have undergone surgery. Also, inform your doctor if you develop any skin infections while using this medicine. Terbimax-F Lotion weakens your immune system, so stay away from people who are sick. If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, talk to your doctor before using this medicine. Terbimax-F Lotion is not recommended for use in children below 12 years of age unless prescribed by your paediatrician.
