Testenate Depot-250 Injection 1 ml contains Testosterone, which helps replenish the deficient testosterone levels in adult men. Thereby, Testenate Depot-250 Injection 1 ml helps in treating deficiency/absence of endogenous testosterone. Testosterone is the anabolic steroid and primary sex hormone in males, which plays an important role in developing male reproductive tissues like the prostate and testes.
 
Testenate Depot-250 Injection 1 ml will be administered by a healthcare professional; do not self-administer. In some cases, you may experience side effects such as injection site reactions, polycythemia (high number of red blood cells), headache, and depression. You are advised to talk to your doctor if the side effects persist or worsen.

Do not take Testenate Depot-250 Injection 1 ml if you are allergic to any of its contents; or if you have prostate cancer or breast cancer. Testenate Depot-250 Injection 1 ml is not intended for use in women. Inform your doctor if you have a high blood cell count or high haemoglobin laboratory value, urinary problems due to an enlarged prostate, heart problems, diabetes, sleep apnoea (breathing problem while sleeping), or liver or kidney problems. Testenate Depot-250 Injection 1 ml is not recommended for children below 12 years as safety and effectiveness have not been established. 

• Tuna, egg yolks, fortified cereals, oysters, shell fish, and beans are good sources of Testosterone.
• Maintain a healthy diet and exercise regularly.
• Get ample rest and proper sleep.
• Reduce stress levels by doing yoga or meditation. 
• Consume foods that are rich in zinc, such as nuts, crab, beans, lobster, and whole grains.

• Regular monitoring of blood pressure, blood sugar levels, red blood cell count, and haemoglobin levels is advised.
• Consult your doctor if you notice any signs and symptoms of a blood clot in your leg, such as pain, swelling or redness or signs and symptoms of a blood clot in your lungs, like difficulty breathing or chest pain.
• Consult your doctor immediately if you have changes in mood or depression.

Primary hypogonadism: Primary hypogonadism is a condition in which the gonads (testes in men and ovaries in women) produce insufficient sex hormones. Sex hormones are responsible for secondary sexual characteristics, such as testicular development in men and breast development in women. Autoimmune disorders, genetic disorders, severe infections, pituitary disorders, and inflammatory diseases could be the causes of hypogonadism.
