Tobia-F Eye Drops 5 ml belongs to ophthalmic eye medications primarily used to treat bacterial eye infections and reduce swelling, itching, and redness. Conjunctivitis (pink eye) is a common bacterial eye infection associated with the inflammation or infection of the conjunctiva (white part of the eye) and the inner eyelid.
Tobia-F Eye Drops 5 ml is a combination of two drugs, namely: Tobramycin (antibiotic) and Fluorometholone (corticosteroid). Tobramycin belongs to the class of antibiotics that works by inhibiting the production of essential proteins that are necessary for bacteria to grow, multiply and increase in numbers. Thereby, it destroys bacteria. Fluorometholone belongs to the class of steroids that works by inhibiting the release of certain chemical messengers in the body that cause redness, itching, and swelling. Thereby, reduces the redness and swelling caused due to bacterial infections.
Use Tobia-F Eye Drops 5 ml as prescribed by your doctor. Tobia-F Eye Drops 5 ml is only for use in eyes. You are advised to use Tobia-F Eye Drops 5 ml for as long as your doctor has prescribed it for you based on your medical condition. In some cases, you may experience eye irritation, eye redness, itchy or swollen eyelids, mild burning or stinging sensation in the eye, or eye discomfort. Most of these side effects of Tobia-F Eye Drops 5 ml do not require medical attention and gradually resolve over time. However, if the side effects persist or worsen, please consult your doctor.
