About Tresiba 100U/ml Penfil Injection 3 ml

Tresiba 100U/ml Penfil Injection 3 ml belongs to a group of medication called 'anti-diabetic' primarily used for the treatment of type 1 and type 2 diabetes mellitus in both children (above 1 year of age) and adults. Diabetes is a disease where your body does not produce enough insulin to control the level of your blood sugar. Treatment with Tresiba 100U/ml Penfil Injection 3 ml helps to prevent complications from your diabetes.

Tresiba 100U/ml Penfil Injection 3 ml contains insulin degludec which is a fast-acting insulin that works rapidly to normalize blood sugar levels by helping the sugar move from the blood into other tissues of the body. It typically begins working after 60 minutes and is a long-acting insulin preparation (lasts for more than 24 hours). It prevents the risk of having severe complications of diabetes. It stimulates the recovery of sugar in muscle and fat cells and thus suppresses the production of sugar in the liver.

In patients with type 1 diabetes, Tresiba 100U/ml Penfil Injection 3 ml must be used with another type of insulin (like with short-acting insulin). On the other hand, in patients with type 2 diabetes, Tresiba 100U/ml Penfil Injection 3 ml can be used with another type of insulin or with oral antidiabetic medicines. The common side effects of Tresiba 100U/ml Penfil Injection 3 ml are hypokalaemia (low potassium), hypoglycemia (low blood sugar level), local injection site reactions, lipodystrophy (fat deposition under the skin), rash, and pruritus (itch skin) which may occur at the injection site. Most of these side effects of Tresiba 100U/ml Penfil Injection 3 ml do not require medical attention and gradually resolve over time. However, if the side effects are persistent, reach out to your doctor.

Try not to stop taking Tresiba 100U/ml Penfil Injection 3 ml of your own. Let your doctor know about this, as it may cause withdrawal symptoms. Do not take Tresiba 100U/ml Penfil Injection 3 ml if you have any low blood glucose levels, kidney, liver, or heart problems, or problems with alcohol or other prescription recreational drugs. Along with Tresiba 100U/ml Penfil Injection 3 ml , you should take a healthy diet, do regular exercise, and maintain weight as advised by your doctor. Tresiba 100U/ml Penfil Injection 3 ml is a cold chain medicine, and so it has to be stored in the refrigerator between 2-8 degrees Celsius else its efficiency might get lost. Do not store in the freezer of the fridge.

Medicinal Benefits

Tresiba 100U/ml Penfil Injection 3 ml works by ensuring rapid and consistent sugar control. Tresiba 100U/ml Penfil Injection 3 ml is a long-acting synthetic form of insulin that helps lower blood sugar levels by replacing the insulin that is produced by the body naturally. This drug also helps in moving sugar from the blood into different parts of the body so that body can effectively use the sugar in producing energy. Prevents the risk of having severe complications of diabetes. It stimulates the recovery of sugar in muscle and fat cells and thus suppresses the production of sugar in the liver. Tresiba 100U/ml Penfil Injection 3 ml helps in improving the glycaemic control which in turn decreases the risk of progression of complications of diabetes like damage of retina (retinopathy), damage of kidney (nephropathy), damage of nerve cells (neuropathy), delayed wound healing, diabetic foot ulcer, and others. Besides this, Tresiba 100U/ml Penfil Injection 3 ml can be safely prescribed to the diabetic mother in the pregnancy as well as lactation stage.

Here are the precise steps to cope with diarrhoea caused by medication usage:
  • Inform Your Doctor: Notify your doctor immediately about your diarrhoea symptoms. This allows them to adjust your medication or provide guidance on managing side effects.
  • Stay Hydrated: Drink plenty of fluids to replace lost water and electrolytes. Choose water, clear broth, and electrolyte-rich drinks. Avoid carbonated or caffeinated beverages to effectively rehydrate your body.
  • Follow a Bland Diet: Eat easy-to-digest foods to help firm up your stool and settle your stomach. Try incorporating bananas, rice, applesauce, toast, plain crackers, and boiled vegetables into your diet.
  • Avoid Trigger Foods: Steer clear of foods that can worsen diarrhoea, such as spicy, fatty, or greasy foods, high-fibre foods, and dairy products (especially if you're lactose intolerant).
  • Practice Good Hygiene: Maintain good hygiene to prevent the spread of infection. To stay healthy, wash your hands frequently, clean and disinfect surfaces regularly, and avoid exchanging personal belongings with others.
  • Take Anti-Diarrheal Medications: If your doctor advises, anti-diarrheal medications such as loperamide might help manage diarrhoea symptoms. Always follow your doctor's directions.
  • Keep track of your diarrhoea symptoms. If they don't get better or worse or are accompanied by severe stomach pain, blood, or dehydration signs (like extreme thirst or dark urine), seek medical help.
Here are the steps to manage the medication-triggered Sinusitis (Sinus infection or Inflammation Of Sinuses):
  • Consult your doctor if you experience symptoms of sinusitis, such as nasal congestion, facial pain, or headaches, which may be triggered by your medication.
  • Your doctor may adjust your treatment plan by changing your medication, adding new medications, or providing guidance on managing your sinusitis symptoms.
  • Practice good hygiene, including frequent handwashing, avoiding close contact with others, and avoiding sharing utensils or personal items.
  • If your doctor advises, you can use nasal decongestants or saline nasal sprays to help relieve nasal congestion and sinus pressure.
  • To help your body recover, get plenty of rest, stay hydrated, and engage in stress-reducing activities. If your symptoms persist or worsen, consult your doctor for further guidance.
  • Get ample rest; this helps your stomach to settle.
  • Eat soft and easy-to-digest foods like white rice, bananas, crackers and apple sauce.
  • Include probiotics-rich food like yoghurt, kefir, or miso, as they help maintain gut functioning.
  • Wash your hands properly before preparing/eating food and after using the toilet.
  • Drink water, broth or diluted fruit juice to replace electrolytes and lost fluids.
  • Avoid caffeine, alcohol, high-fat, fried and fast foods, as well as sweetened beverages.
  • Injection site reaction can include numbness or redness.
  • Get a physical examination, follow your doctor's instructions, if it worsens or gets swollen.
  • Apply cold compress for pain relief.
  • Practice good hygiene and keep the injection site away from heat and pressure.
  • Wear compression garments like stockings, sleeves, or gloves to apply pressure and help stop fluid from building up, especially after the swelling goes down.
  • Move around and do exercises to help the fluid circulate, especially in swollen limbs. Ask your doctor for specific exercises.
  • Raise the swollen area above your heart level several times a day, even while sleeping, to help reduce swelling.
  • Gently massage the swollen area with firm but not painful pressure.
  • Keep the swollen area clean and moisturized to prevent injury and infection.
  • Reduce salt intake to help prevent fluid from building up and worsening the swelling, as advised by a doctor.
  • If the swelling does not get better after a few days of home treatment or worsens, consult your doctor right away.
Here are the steps to manage the medication-triggered Common Cold:
  • Inform your doctor about the common cold symptoms you're experiencing due to medication.

  • Drink plenty of fluids, such as warm water or soup, to help thin out mucus.
  • Get plenty of rest and engage in stress-reducing activities to help your body recover. If your symptoms don't subside or worsen, consult your doctor for further guidance.
  • If you experience low blood sugar levels, inform your doctor. They will assess the severity and make recommendations for the next actions.
  • Your doctor will assess your symptoms, blood sugar levels, and overall health before recommending the best course of action, which may include treatment, lifestyle modifications, or prescription adjustments.
  • Follow your doctor's instructions carefully to manage the episode and adjust your treatment plan.
  • Make medication adjustments as recommended by your doctor to prevent future episodes.
  • Implement diet and lifestyle modifications as your doctor advises to manage low blood sugar levels.
  • Monitor your blood sugar levels closely for patterns and changes.
  • Track your progress by recording your blood sugar levels, food intake, and physical activity.
  • Seek further guidance from your doctor if symptoms persist or worsen so that your treatment plan can be revised.
