About Tresivac Vaccine
Tresivac Vaccine belongs to the class of medicines called ‘immunizing agents’ used to prevent Measles, Mumps, and Rubella infections. Measles is an infectious viral disease that causes fever and a red rash in children. Mumps is a contagious viral disease caused by a paramyxovirus, which causes fever and swelling, particularly of the parotid gland. Rubella is also a contagious disease caused by the rubella virus. All these conditions can be prevented by effective vaccination.
Tresivac Vaccine is a vaccine or immunizing agent which is made from a live and weakened or attenuated virus (measles, mumps and rubella). It helps to develop immunity by stimulating the immune system to produce antibodies. It is essential to take the vaccine doses as per the doctor’s advice for effective protection against the disease.
Tresivac Vaccine will be administered by a healthcare professional. In a few cases, Tresivac Vaccine may cause side-effects such as low-grade fever, redness, pain, and swelling at the injection site. These side-effects are temporary and resolve over time. However, inform your doctor if any of these side effects persist or get worse.
Before taking Tresivac Vaccine , inform your doctor if you have any allergy, weak immune system due to long-term diseases such as HIV or cancer, serious infection or illness with fever, blood disorders, immunological diseases, and active untreated tuberculosis. Tresivac Vaccine should not be used in children under the age of 12 months. Tresivac Vaccine should not be used in pregnant women. Women of childbearing age should take necessary precautions to avoid pregnancy for at least one month after receiving the vaccine.

Tresivac Vaccine is a vaccine or an immunizing agent which is made from a live, and weakened or attenuated virus. It helps to provide protection by stimulating the immune system to form antibodies that act against the measles, mumps and rubella viruses.
Rubella is also known as German Measles. It is a mild disease whose symptoms include a characteristic red rash, fever and swollen lymph nodes.
A single dose of vaccine is 93% effective against measles, 78% effective against mumps, and 97% effective against rubella. The vaccine is 97% effective against measles and 88% effective against mumps after two doses.
Rubella/German measles is a milder form of measles. Measles always manifests as high fever and swollen lymph nodes, whereas the fever is of low grade in Rubella and lymph nodes are not always swollen. The pattern of rash is also different in the two diseases. The rash is spotty in Rubella, whereas it is blotchy in measles.
Tresivac Vaccine can be given till five years of age in children as a part of routine immunisation. However, always follow the regular schedules and do not delay vaccination. If the vaccine was missed in childhood, it could be given to adults in a one or two-dose regimen.
Tresivac Vaccine should not be used in individuals with a weak immune system due to diseases (cancer or HIV) or medicines (immune suppressants), blood disorders, immunological diseases, active untreated tuberculosis, and severe illness with fever.
