Tromycetin 1gm Injection does not work against infections caused by viruses, including colds and flu.
 
Tromycetin 1gm Injection contains ‘Chloramphenicol’ that works by preventing the synthesis of essential proteins which are necessary for vital bacterial functions. Thus, kills the bacteria and helps in treating infection. Tromycetin 1gm Injection is a broad-spectrum antibiotic which is active against both gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria.
 
In some cases, you may experience common side effects such as nausea, vomiting, diarrhoea, dry mouth and headache. Most of these side effects do not require medical attention and will resolve gradually over time. However, you are advised to talk to your doctor if the side effects persist or worsen.
 
Do not use Tromycetin 1gm Injection if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. Do not take Tromycetin 1gm Injection if you are allergic to any of its components; or if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. Inform your doctor if you are taking any medicines which may cause bone marrow depression if you have a cold, throat infection, viral influenza, kidney or liver problems, or if you are about to be or have recently been vaccinated. Let your doctor know if you are taking any prescription/non-prescription medicines or herbal/vitamin supplements.

• Eat fibre-rich food like whole grains, beans, lentils, berries, broccoli, peas and bananas.
• Avoid consumption of alcohol and usage of tobacco.
