Ultravist 300mg I/ml Injection contains Iopromide as an active ingredient used during certain medical procedures. It is a radiopaque contrast medium that opacifies the vessels in the path of flow of the contrast medium, thereby visualizing the internal structures of the human body.
Before taking the Ultravist 300mg I/ml Injection, let your doctor know about all your medical conditions, sensitivities, and medications you are using. Before administration, inform your doctor if you have liver/kidney disease, cardiac disorders, bleeding disorders, diabetes, multiple myeloma or respiratory conditions. It is unknown whether Ultravist 300mg I/ml Injection is safe for pregnant or nursing moms. As a result, notify your doctor if you are pregnant, plan to become pregnant, or are breastfeeding. Ultravist 300mg I/ml Injection is not intended for intrathecal use. Prolonged fasting and using a laxative before Ultravist 300mg I/ml Injection is not recommended in the pediatric population. Caution should be exercised in patients with severely impaired renal function, combined renal and cardiac disease, combined renal and hepatic disease, severe thyrotoxicosis, myelomatosis, or anuria, especially when large doses are administered.
Drug-Drug Interactions: Ultravist 300mg I/ml Injection may interact with medicines (e.g. acyclovir, adefovir, tenofovir), NSAIDs (e.g. bromfenac, diclofenac, naproxen) and antibiotics (e.g. neomycin, vancomycin).
