About V-Gavir 450 Tablet 4's

V-Gavir 450 Tablet 4's belongs to a class of drugs called antivirals used to treat cytomegalovirus (CMV) infection of the retina of the eye in adult AIDS patients. Also, V-Gavir 450 Tablet 4's is used to prevent CMV infection in patients who received an organ transplant from a donor infected with CMV. Cytomegalovirus (CMV) retinitis is a viral infection of the retina (light-sensing cells) caused by cytomegalovirus.

V-Gavir 450 Tablet 4's contains Valganciclovir which works by getting converted to ganciclovir in the body and inhibits the multiplication of the virus. Thereby, it helps to control the infection.  

Take V-Gavir 450 Tablet 4's as prescribed by your doctor. You are advised to take V-Gavir 450 Tablet 4's for as long as your doctor has prescribed it for you based on your medical condition. In some cases, you may experience diarrhea, loss of appetite, cough, headache, stomach pain, nausea, fever, tiredness, or sinusitis (sinus infection). Most of these side effects of V-Gavir 450 Tablet 4's do not require medical attention and gradually resolve over time. However, if the side effects persist or worsen, please consult your doctor.

If you are allergic to V-Gavir 450 Tablet 4's or any other medicines, please tell your doctor. Avoid taking V-Gavir 450 Tablet 4's if you are pregnant as it may cause birth defects. V-Gavir 450 Tablet 4's may cause diarrhoea as a temporary side effect. However, if the condition persists or worsens, please consult a doctor.
