About Vactyph Vaccine

Vactyph Vaccine belongs to a class of medication called immunizing agents used to prevent typhoid fever. Typhoid is a severe bacterial infection caused by bacteria called Salmonella typhi that spreads quickly through contaminated water and food. The symptoms of typhoid fever include weakness, high fever, stomach pain, headache, diarrhea, poor appetite, or constipation.

Vactyph Vaccine contains the Typhoid vaccine that stimulates the body's immune system to produce antibodies against typhoid bacteria. Thereby, Vactyph Vaccine helps develop immunity and protect the body against future infections caused by typhoid bacteria.

Vactyph Vaccine will be administered by a healthcare professional; do not self-administer. In some cases, you may experience pain, redness, or swelling at the injection site, muscle pain, unusual weakness, fever, or tiredness. Most of these side effects of Vactyph Vaccine do not require medical attention and gradually resolve over time. However, if the side effects persist or worsen, please consult your doctor.

If you are allergic to Vactyph Vaccine or any other medicines, please tell your doctor. If you have hemophilia (a disorder in which blood does not clot easily) or HIV infection, inform your doctor before taking Vactyph Vaccine . Diet & Lifestyle Advise

  • Avoid drinking water from a well or tap.
  • Drink pasteurized milk, hot coffee, and hot tea.
