Veloz IT Capsule 10's is a combination medicine of proton pump inhibitor and prokinetic agent used to lower the increased level of stomach acid. It treats GERD (gastro-oesophagal reflux disease), and peptic ulcers. Gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD) occurs when stomach acid frequently flows back into the food pipe (oesophagus). Peptic ulcers are sores that develop on the inner lining of the intestine and stomach.

Veloz IT Capsule 10's is a combination of two drugs: Rabeprazole and Itopride. Rabeprazole is a proton pump inhibitor (PPI) that works by blocking the action of an enzyme called gastric proton pump, which is responsible for acid production. It minimizes the release of acid from the stomach, which provides relief from heartburn and acid-related digestion. While Itopride works on the part of the brain that is responsible for controlling vomiting.  It increases gastric emp undying improves gastric sensitivity and tension by increasing the stomach's movement and intestines in the upper digestive tract. It also has anti-emetic action. Together, Veloz IT Capsule 10's helps prevent acid reflux, thereby relieving acidity.

Take Veloz IT Capsule 10's 30-60 minutes before food. Do not chew or break the tablet; swallow it as a whole with a glass of water. You are advised to take Veloz IT Capsule 10's for as long as your doctor has prescribed it for you, depending on your medical condition. Sometimes, you may experience common side effects such as headache, nausea, stomach pain, dizziness, and diarrhoea. Most of these side effects do not require medical attention and will resolve gradually over time. However, you are advised to talk to your doctor if you experience these side effects persistently.

Inform your doctor before taking Veloz IT Capsule 10's if you have a history of gastrointestinal bleeding, mechanical perforation/obstruction, or movement disorder. On long-term treatment, Veloz IT Capsule 10's may cause osteoporosis and hypomagnesemia (low levels of magnesium). Do not take Veloz IT Capsule 10's if you are pregnant or breastfeeding unless prescribed by the doctor. Veloz IT Capsule 10's causes drowsiness, so drive only if you are alert. Veloz IT Capsule 10's should not be given to children as safety has not been established. Avoid consuming alcohol with Veloz IT Capsule 10's as it can lead to increased drowsiness and increased acid production.

Do not take Veloz IT Capsule 10's if you are allergic to any of its contents. Inform your doctor before taking Veloz IT Capsule 10's if you have a history of gastrointestinal bleeding, mechanical perforation/obstruction, or movement disorder. Veloz IT Capsule 10's may cause osteoporosis on long-term treatment. Veloz IT Capsule 10's may also cause hypomagnesemia (low magnesium). Do not take Veloz IT Capsule 10's if you are pregnant or breastfeeding unless prescribed by the doctor. Veloz IT Capsule 10's causes dizziness, so drive only if you are alert. Veloz IT Capsule 10's should not be given to children as safety has not been established. Avoid consuming alcohol along with Veloz IT Capsule 10's as it could lead to increased drowsiness and elevate stomach acid production. Keep your doctor informed about all the medicines and your health condition to rule out any side effects.  Consult your doctor if you experience unexplained weight loss, stomach pain, indigestion, vomit food or blood, or if you pass black stools. On long-term treatment, Veloz IT Capsule 10's may cause osteoporosis and hypomagnesemia (low levels of magnesium), and may reduce the absorption of vitamin B12.

• Eat smaller meals more often.
• Avoid smoking and alcohol consumption. Alcohol intake leads to increased production of stomach acid, thereby increasing acidity and heartburn.
• Maintain a healthy weight by regular exercising.
• Avoid lying down after eating.
• Avoid tight-fitting clothes.
• Maintain a healthy weight by regular exercising.
• Practice relaxation techniques and avoid stress by doing yoga or meditation.
• Avoid foods such as high-fat, spicy chocolates, citrus fruits, pineapple, tomato, onion, garlic, tea and soda. 
• Avoid sitting continuously, as it may trigger acidity. Take a break of 5minutes break every hour by doing brisk walking or stretching.

• Inform your doctor before taking Veloz IT Capsule 10's if you are due to have Chromogranin A test.
• Regular tests of magnesium and calcium are suggested if you are regularly taking prescribed Veloz IT Capsule 10's.
