Zepdon 400mg Tablet belongs to the group of medicines called antiretroviral agents used to treat HIV infection. HIV (Human Immunodeficiency Virus) is a virus that attacks the immune system and destroys the white blood cells that help in fighting infection, making the individual susceptible to other infections or illnesses.

Zepdon 400mg Tablet contains 'Raltegravir' which is a human immunodeficiency virus integrase strand transfer inhibitor (HIV-1 INSTI). It works by inhibiting the replication of HIV by blocking DNA integration into new cells. Thus, Zepdon 400mg Tablet is effective in controlling the HIV from multiplying and is used in the treatment of HIV.

Take Zepdon 400mg Tablet in the dose and duration prescribed by the doctor. Zepdon 400mg Tablet may cause certain side effects such as nausea, tiredness, insomnia, headache and dizziness. Most of these side effects do not require medical attention and will resolve gradually over time. However, you are advised to talk to your doctor if these side effects persist. 

Inform the doctor if you are allergic to any of the components of Zepdon 400mg Tablet . Zepdon 400mg Tablet may cause dizziness, so drive with caution. Zepdon 400mg Tablet is not recommended during pregnancy or breastfeeding. Avoid alcohol consumption as it might cause increased dizziness. Use Zepdon 400mg Tablet with caution in case of mental health problems, bone problems, liver problems, skin problems, infections and muscle problems. Keep your doctor informed if you have a history of hypertension, diabetes, hepatitis, liver disease, kidney problems or heart disease. Offer a detailed medical and vaccination history. Inform the doctor especially if you are on any antidepressants, antacids, iron supplements, radiotherapy, analgesics, heart medicines, antibiotics, anti-epileptics, antifungals or any other antiretrovirals. Zepdon 400mg Tablet is not recommended during pregnancy and breastfeeding. Avoid Zepdon 400mg Tablet use with alcohol. It is important to practise safe sex to avoid transmitting HIV to your partner.

• Meditation and yoga have also proven very effective in helping HIV patients maintain a healthy attitude and body.

• Taking a stroll in the garden, or spending 30 minutes of your time doing some light physical activity can be very useful. However, do not over-exert yourself if you feel too tired.
