This medicine effectively decreases swelling, itching and redness of the skin. Bacterial skin infection occurs when bacteria enter the body through broken skin.

ZINCODERM G CREAM contains three different medications: Gentamicin, Clobetasol and Zinc sulfate. Gentamicin is an antibiotic that works by preventing the synthesis of essential proteins required to survive the bacteria. Clobetasol is a steroid medicine that inhibits the release of chemical messengers that cause inflammation and redness. Zinc is an important mineral that helps maintain the skin's health. Zinc helps to heal the infection. Together, ZINCODERM G CREAM helps in treating skin infections.

ZINCODERM G CREAM is for external use only. Take a pea-sized amount onto your finger, apply it directly onto the affected area, and gently massage it. If ZINCODERM G CREAM comes in contact with eyes, nose or mouth, rinse with water immediately. Depending on your medical condition, you are advised to use ZINCODERM G CREAM for as long as your doctor has prescribed it for you. In some cases, you may experience common side effects such as skin peeling, dryness, burning sensation, irritation, stinging sensation, itching and redness at the application site. Most of these side effects do not require medical attention and resolve gradually over time. However, you are advised to talk to your doctor if you experience these side effects persistently.

Do not use ZINCODERM G CREAM in more than prescribed doses or on a large area of skin for a longer duration, as it may cause adverse effects. To treat your condition effectually, continue using ZINCODERM G CREAM for as long as your doctor has prescribed it. Do not apply ZINCODERM G CREAM on children’s skin unless prescribed by the doctor. Apply the medication carefully if you use it on the eyelids or near the eyes, as there is a risk of cataracts or glaucoma if the drug enters the eye frequently. ZINCODERM G CREAM can penetrate the skin easily and may cause skin thinning because of repeated application. So, apply it carefully when using it on broken or damaged skin and large surface areas of the skin. Inform your doctor immediately if you experience vision problems or other abnormal signs. Do not use ZINCODERM G CREAM simultaneously as other creams or ointments such as a moisturiser. Wait at least 30 minutes between using clobetasol and any other product.
