About ZOCON LOTION

ZOCON LOTION belongs to the class of medicines called 'antifungals' used to treat fungal skin infections. Fungal infection occurs when a fungus invades and affects the tissue on the skin. Symptoms of a fungal infection include skin rash, irritation, redness and scaling of the skin. 

ZOCON LOTION contains 'Fluconazole' that kills or prevents fungi or yeast by inhibiting an enzyme in fungi responsible for its normal fat metabolism; this interferes with the formation of the fungal cell membrane. As a result, fungal or yeast cells get killed or their growth is minimized.

ZOCON LOTION is for external use only. Use ZOCON LOTION as prescribed by your doctor. ZOCON LOTION may cause common side effects like itching, dryness, redness, and burning sensation at the application site. These side effects are not familiar to everyone and vary individually. If you notice any side effects that are not manageable, please consult your doctor.

Inform your doctor if you are allergic to any of the components in ZOCON LOTION. Let your doctor know if you have any other skin disorders or illnesses before starting ZOCON LOTION. Pregnant and breastfeeding women should consult their doctor before starting ZOCON LOTION.

Fungal skin infections

Directions for Use

Dusting powder: Dust the powder on the skin’s affected areas and pat it lightly on the skin.Gel/cream/lotion: Take a small amount on the fingertip and apply it as a thin layer on the clean and dry affected area as prescribed by your doctor. Wash your hands before and after application if your hands are not the affected area to prevent the spread of infection.Soap: Work the soap into a nice lather and apply it to the affected areas with your hands. Gently massage in circular motions and rinse off with clean water.

ZOCON LOTION contains Fluconazole, which works by killing the fungus/yeast and preventing its growth by inhibiting the fungal cell membrane formation. It is used to treat fungal skin infections, such as athlete's foot, jock itch, and ringworm infections. It is also useful in treating vaginal yeast infections.

  • Do not scratch the affected area of the skin as it can spread the infection to other body parts.
  • Avoid frequent douching to maintain the natural moisture in the vagina.
  • Use mild soap while taking baths and prefer warm baths.
  • Avoid harsh products on your skin.
  • Manage stress, eat healthily, drink plenty of water, exercise regularly, and get plenty of sleep.
  • Avoid or limit the intake of alcohol and caffeine.
  • It is advised to take non-starchy vegetables and gluten-free foods.

Do not stop using ZOCON LOTION even if you feel better until the course advised by your doctor is finished. Your symptoms may improve before the infection is completely cured.

ZOCON LOTION is usually prescribed for a short time. However, your doctor may prescribe it for a longer time depending on the type and severity of your infection. Use ZOCON LOTION only for as long as your doctor has prescribed it.

ZOCON LOTION is for topical (for skin) use only. Do not put a bandage or dressing on the affected area while treating with ZOCON LOTION unless the doctor advised. Avoid contact with the nose, mouth or eyes. In case of accidental contact with these areas, rinse with water thoroughly. Do not apply ZOCON LOTION on open wounds, lesions and blisters.

ZOCON LOTION should be used with other topical medicine only if advised by the doctor. If prescribed, you are required to maintain at least a three-hour gap between ZOCON LOTION and other topical medicine.
