Aktisalix Lotion 25 ml is a dermatological medication primarily used to treat eczema and psoriasis. Eczema is a skin condition associated with inflamed, itchy, cracked, and rough skin patches. Psoriasis is a skin disease in which skin cells multiply rapidly to form bumpy (uneven) red patches covered with white scales.

Aktisalix Lotion 25 ml contains Clobetasol propionate (corticosteroid) and Salicylic acid (peeling agent). Clobetasol propionate is a corticosteroid that blocks the production of prostaglandins (chemical messengers) that make the affected area red, swollen, and itchy. Salicylic acid is a keratolytic medicine (that softens, separates, and causes peeling of the cornified epithelium or horny layer of skin). It increases the amount of moisture in the skin and dissolves the substance that causes the skin cells to stick together.

Your doctor will advise the appropriate use of Aktisalix Lotion 25 ml that suits your infection. Common side effects of Aktisalix Lotion 25 ml include itching, dryness, and a burning sensation at the application site. These side effects are temporary and gradually resolve over time. If the side effects are persistent, please consult your doctor.

Let your doctor know if you are sensitive to Aktisalix Lotion 25 ml or any other medications. Do not use Aktisalix Lotion 25 ml on open wounds, blisters, and lesions. Please do not cover the affected areas with a dressing or bandage unless advised. Aktisalix Lotion 25 ml is not recommended for use in diaper rash. Let your doctor know if you have liver/kidney diseases, diabetes, Cushing's disease (high cortisol levels), and blood circulation problems before starting Aktisalix Lotion 25 ml. Pregnant and breastfeeding mothers should consult the doctor before starting Aktisalix Lotion 25 ml. 

Aktisalix Lotion 25 ml treats skin infections, such as eczema, psoriasis. It consists of Clobetasol propionate and Salicylic acid. Clobetasol propionate is a corticosteroid that blocks the production of prostaglandins (chemical messengers) that make the affected area red, swollen, and itchy. It treats inflammation and itchiness caused by eczema and psoriasis. Salicylic acid is a keratolytic medicine (softens, separates, and causes peeling of the cornified epithelium or horny layer of skin). Salicylic acid breaks down the clumps of keratin, removes dead skin cells, and softens the skin. It is also an anti-inflammatory agent and topical antibacterial. Aktisalix Lotion 25 ml removes the scaling and reduces the redness and itchiness due to skin infections.

Aktisalix Lotion 25 ml is for topical (for skin) use only. Aktisalix Lotion 25 ml is not recommended for use in diaper rash. Inform your doctor beforehand if you have blood circulation problems, active skin infections, and chickenpox. Prolonged use of steroid containing medicines leads to skin sensitisation and the development of resistant organisms. Do not cover the affected areas with occlusive dressings while using Aktisalix Lotion 25 ml. Avoid applying Aktisalix Lotion 25 ml on sunburns, lesions, blisters, and open wounds. Topical usage of corticosteroids like Clobetasol propionate in pregnant women should be used with caution under a doctor's supervision. Let your doctor know if you are a lactating mother before using Aktisalix Lotion 25 ml. If you apply Aktisalix Lotion 25 ml to breasts or nipples for treatment, wash it off while nursing your baby. Do not go near naked flames since the fabric that comes in contact with Aktisalix Lotion 25 ml may burn easily. Washing the fabric may decrease the risk, but it does not remove the product completely. Do not store Aktisalix Lotion 25 ml above 25°C.

Drug-Disease Interaction: Brief your doctor if you have a medical history of allergic reactions to medicines, liver or kidney diseases, blood circulation problems, Cushing's disease (high cortisol levels), and chickenpox before starting Aktisalix Lotion 25 ml.

• Use mild soap while taking baths and prefer warm baths.
• Always wear loose-fitting clothes to avoid further sweat and spread of skin infection.
• Regularly change your socks and wash your feet. Avoid shoes that make your feet sweaty and hot.
• Do not walk barefoot at places like gym showers to prevent infections.
• Do not scratch the affected area of the skin as it can spread the infection to other body parts.
• Avoid sharing towels, combs, bed sheets, shoes or socks with others.
• Wash your bed sheets and towels regularly.
• Avoid or limit the intake of alcohol and caffeine.
• Manage stress, eat healthily, drink plenty of water, exercise regularly, and get plenty of sleep.
