Bictofine Gargle 100 ml

Bictofine Gargle 100 ml is a fungicidal, bactericidal, and trichomonacidal agent used to treat vaginal infections, including vaginal candidiasis, Gardnerella vaginitis/bacterial vaginosis (bacterial overgrowth in the vagina), trichomonal infections, and vaginal inflammation/vaginitis. It also relieves vaginal soreness, itching, and irritation. Vaginal infection is the infection of the vagina and tissues at the opening of the vagina (vulva). 

Bictofine Gargle 100 ml contains Povidone Iodine that works by inhibiting the growth of infection-causing microbes. As a small molecule, iodine can easily penetrate microorganisms and oxidizes essential proteins, nucleotides, and fatty acids, leading to cell death. It is effective against infections caused by bacteria, fungi, viruses, yeast, and protozoa.

Bictofine Gargle 100 ml is for vaginal use only. Common side effects of Bictofine Gargle 100 ml include vaginal pain/soreness, burning sensation, irritation, itching, swelling, redness in the vaginal area, and vaginal dryness. Most of these side effects do not require medical attention and gradually resolve over time. If these side effects persist longer, please consult your doctor.

It is essential to tell your doctor if you have any other active infections before using Bictofine Gargle 100 ml. Bictofine Gargle 100 ml is used to treat vaginal infections. It contains Povidone iodine that has fungicidal, bactericidal, and trichomonacidal action. It is useful in treating blood, pus, and vaginal secretions caused due to infection. It is effective against infections caused by bacteria, viruses, fungi, yeast, and protozoa. It is also helpful in pre-operative disinfection and diagnostic procedures for acute and chronic infections of the vagina (vaginitis).

Do not use Bictofine Gargle 100 ml if you are allergic to any of its components. If the medicine gets into your eyes, nose, or mouth, rinse with cold water. Please inform your doctor if you use any medicines, including vitamin and herbal supplements, before using Bictofine Gargle 100 ml. Let your doctor know if you have any liver, kidney diseases, or thyroid problems like nodular colloidal goitre, endemic goitre, Hashimoto's thyroiditis, and thyroid carcinoma before starting Bictofine Gargle 100 ml. Bictofine Gargle 100 ml is not recommended in pregnant and breastfeeding women. Do not use Bictofine Gargle 100 ml in pre-puberty children; please consult your doctor for further information.

Drug-Drug Interaction: Do not use Bictofine Gargle 100 ml with mercury or silver containing disinfectants and contraceptive devices.

Drug-Food Interaction: No interactions were found/established.

Drug-Disease Interaction: Before using Bictofine Gargle 100 ml, let your doctor know if you have any allergic reactions to iodine or povidone, thyroid diseases, liver or kidney problems.

• Avoid frequent douching to maintain the natural moisture in the vagina.
• Avoid scented deodorants and soaps for vaginal cleansing.
• Avoid or limit the intake of alcohol and caffeine.
• Foods and supplements rich in probiotic bacteria may help balance the natural vaginal flora.
• Proper cleaning of the vagina is recommended during bathing or showering.
• Wear cotton lingerie to promote good airflow and decrease moisture build-up.
• Manage stress, eat healthily, drink plenty of water, exercise regularly, and get plenty of sleep.
• It is advisable to follow a candida diet during yeast infections. This diet excludes sugar, gluten, certain dairy products, and alcohol, switching to low-sugar fruits, non-starchy vegetables, and gluten-free foods. A very-high sugar or high-carbohydrate diet may increase the count of Candida in some people.

• Do not use Bictofine Gargle 100 ml for four weeks before radioiodine scintigraphy or radioiodine treatment.
• Do not use Bictofine Gargle 100 ml with concurrent lithium therapy.
• Bictofine Gargle 100 ml may interfere with thyroid function tests; hence please inform your laboratory staff in advance.
