Caldison-XT Tablet belongs to the class of 'multivitamins', primarily used to treat nutritional deficiencies. Nutritional deficiency occurs when the body is unable to absorb or get enough nutrients from food. It could lead to various health problems, including defective bone growth, skin disorders, digestive issues, and dementia (memory loss).

Caldison-XT Tablet contains Elemental Calcium, Vitamin D3, L-Methylfolate Calcium, Pyridoxal-5-phosphate, and Methylcobalamin. Elemental Calcium makes the bones stronger by increasing their density. It helps in treating and preventing low calcium levels. Vitamin D3 helps maintain blood calcium and phosphorus levels and mineralization of bone. L-Methylfolate calcium helps produce new blood cells and prevents low folate levels. Pyridoxal-5-phosphate is involved in protein, fat, and carbohydrate metabolism and the formation of red blood cells and neurotransmitters. Your doctor will decide the dosage and duration based on your medical condition. Sometimes, Caldison-XT Tablet may cause common side effects like upset stomach, diarrhoea, nausea, and vomiting. Drinking alcohol may hinder Caldison-XT Tablet absorption; therefore, it is advised to limit the alcohol intake while using Caldison-XT Tablet .

Drug-Drug Interaction: Caldison-XT Tablet may interact with anti-cancer drugs (altretamine), fits medicines (phenytoin, phenobarbital), antibiotics (chloramphenicol), medicines treating Parkinson's disease (levodopa), and antidiabetics (metformin).

Drug-Food Interaction: Please avoid alcohol while using Caldison-XT Tablet to ensure maximum absorption of nutrients.

Drug-Disease Interaction: Use Caldison-XT Tablet with medical advice if you have malabsorption syndrome (difficulty absorbing nutrition from food), hypercalcaemia, hypervitaminosis D, Vitamin D toxicity, heart/kidney/liver/blood vessel diseases, kidney stones, diabetes, and phenylketonuria.

• Include the best dietary sources of vitamin D, such as fish liver oils and vitamin D–fortified milk.
• Include dairy products like milk, yoghurt, cheese or milk-based custard in your diet.
• Sprinkle sesame and sunflower seeds over your food, vegetables and salads. 
• Include fruits like citrus, banana, and watermelon in your diet.
• Avoid smoking and alcohol consumption.
• Exercise regularly and maintain a healthy lifestyle. Avoid excess fatty foods. 

• Clinical monitoring of vitamin D, B12 and B6 levels through blood examinations are recommended. 
• Let your doctor and the laboratory staff know if you are using Caldison-XT Tablet since Pyridoxal-5-phosphate may interfere with laboratory tests like urine tests for urobilinogen.
