About Chymotra Topical Solution
Chymotra Topical Solution belongs to the class of ‘vasodilators’ used to treat alopecia (hair loss). Chymotra Topical Solution stimulates hair growth and slows down the process of balding. Alopecia is the thinning or loss of hair on the scalp or any part of the body.
Chymotra Topical Solution contains ‘Minoxidil’, a vasodilator that widens the blood vessels. This vasodilation process helps provide oxygen, blood, and nutrients to the hair follicles, thereby preventing hair cell death and promoting new hair growth.
Your doctor will suggest the dose and duration based on your condition. Some common side effects of Chymotra Topical Solution include changes in the colour/texture of the hair, excessive hair growth, headache, itching, skin irritation, dryness, shortness of breath, scaling of the skin, and redness. These side effects usually do not require medical attention and gradually resolve during the treatment. If the side effects persist or worsen, consult a doctor.
Do not apply Chymotra Topical Solution on shaved, inflamed, infected, irritated or painful scalp skin. Before using Chymotra Topical Solution, let your doctor know if you have high blood pressure, sunburn, eczema, psoriasis, heart diseases like angina (chest pain), a recent heart attack, and circulation disorders. Chymotra Topical Solution not recommended for pregnant and breastfeeding women. Disease/Condition Glossary
Alopecia or Hair loss: It is an autoimmune disorder that causes the thinning or loss of hair on the scalp or any other part of the body. The main symptom is patchy hair loss. Coin-sized patchy hair loss is prominently seen on the scalp. However, a person with alopecia may also lose hair in other body parts, including eyelashes, eyebrows, facial hair, and body hair. Alopecia can be due to heredity, hormonal changes, medical conditions or a normal part of ageing. It is more common in men.
