About Co-Mupimet Ointment 5 gm

Co-Mupimet Ointment 5 gm is a dermatological antibiotic medication, primarily used to treat bacterial skin infections, impetigo, rosacea, and bacterial vaginal infection (bacterial vaginosis). Co-Mupimet Ointment 5 gm is composed of two antibiotics: Mupirocin and Metronidazole. Mupirocin is an antibacterial drug. Metronidazole belongs to the class of drugs called nitroimidazole antimicrobials. It exerts bactericidal (kills bacteria) action and inhibits bacterial DNA synthesis and cell growth.
