Dimol Drops 10 ml belongs to the class of medications called ‘antiflatulent agent’ used to reduce symptoms of gas such as bloating and abdominal pain. Bloating is the accumulation of gas in the stomach and intestines. It occurs due to swallowing of air while eating or drinking too fast, having oily or spicy food, or having large meals.
Dimol Drops 10 ml contains ‘Dimethicone’. It works by decreasing the surface tension of gas bubbles to release the gas more efficiently. It facilitates the expulsion of gas through flatus or belching (burping). It helps to reduce abdominal pain caused due to gas formation.
You should take this medicine exactly as advised by the physician. The common side-effects of Dimol Drops 10 ml are stomach upset and diarrhea. These side effects are mild and temporary. However, if any of these side effects persist or get worse, inform your physician immediately.
