Drug-Drug Interaction: Fematic Syrup may have interaction with anticonvulsants (phenytoin), antibiotics (chloramphenicol, levofloxacin, ciprofloxacin, doxycycline, minocycline), bisphosphonates (alendronate), medicines used to lower high blood pressure (methyldopa), thyroid medicine (levothyroxine), antiparkinsonian agent (levodopa).

Drug-Food Interaction: Avoid intake of dairy products, coffee or tea with Fematic Syrup at the same time as they may reduce the absorption of Fematic Syrup .

Drug-Disease Interaction: If you have a stomach ulcer, kidney problems, metabolic disorders, or intestinal or stomach problems, inform your doctor before taking Fematic Syrup .

You are not recommended to take Fematic Syrup with phenytoin as co-administration of these two medicines may reduce the concentration of Fematic Syrup in blood and increase the risk of seizures (fits). However, please consult a doctor before taking Fematic Syrup with phenytoin.

Fematic Syrup should be used with caution in patients suffering from stomach ulcers as it may worsen the condition. Therefore, informing your doctor if you have an ulcer before taking Fematic Syrup is advised.

Fematic Syrup may turn stools to black colour. It is a common side effect of Fematic Syrup and is not harmful.
