About Folinz Tablet

Folinz Tablet contains Zinc sulfate and Folic acid. Zinc sulfate is a mineral that promotes the growth and development of body tissues. It is essential for vision, fighting against rhinoviruses (that cause the common cold), immune function, bone metabolism, taste, wound healing, insulin production, blood clotting, and thyroid function. It treats zinc deficiency, acute diarrhoea in children, slow wound healing, and Wilson's disease (a genetic disorder causing copper build-up in the body). Folic acid, a form of Vitamin B, is used to treat pernicious, aplastic, or normocytic anaemia (lack of red blood cells), low blood levels of folate (folate deficiency), and high blood levels of an amino acid, homocysteine (hyperhomocysteinemia). Coadministration of dolutegravir with Folinz Tablet can reduce the efficacy of dolutegravir.

Although taking Dolutegravir and Folinz Tablet together can possibly result in an interaction, they can be taken together if prescribed by your doctor. It is advised to take dolutegravir either two hours before or six hours after taking a dose of Folinz Tablet. Do not discontinue using any medications without consulting a doctor.
Coadministration of Folinz Tablet and Carbamazepine may reduce the blood levels of Folinz Tablet.

Although there is a possible interaction between Folinz Tablet and Fluorouracil, you can take these medicines together if prescribed by your doctor. However, if you experience diarrhoea, paleness of skin, severe nausea and vomiting, over-tiredness, dizziness, fainting, blood in the stools, unusual bleeding or bruising, fever, chills, body pains, flu-like symptoms, skin reactions, mouth ulcers or sores, and/or numbness, burning or tingling in your hands and feet, contact your doctor.
Trimethoprim may decrease the blood levels and effects of Folinz Tablet.

Although there is a possible interaction between Folinz Tablet and Trimethoprim, you can take these medicines together if prescribed by your doctor. Do not stop using any medications without consulting your doctor.
Co-administration of Folinz Tablet with Capecitabine may increase the risk of serious side effects such as bleeding problems, anemia, infections, and nerve damage.

Although there is a possible interaction between Folinz Tablet and Capecitabine, you can use these medicines together if prescribed by the doctor. However, if you experience paleness of skin, diarrhea, severe nausea and vomiting, over-tiredness, dizziness, fainting, blood in the stools, unusual bleeding or bruising, fever, chills, body aches, flu-like symptoms, skin reactions, mouth ulcers or sores, and/or numbness, burning or tingling sensation in the hands and feet, contact a doctor.
