About Healsore Gel 10 gm
Healsore Gel 10 gm is a combination of two medicines, namely: Choline salicylate and lidocaine. Choline salicylate is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID), whereas lidocaine is a local anesthetic. Healsore Gel 10 gm is primarily used to treat mouth ulcers. Mouth ulcers, also known as canker sores, are small, painful lesions that develop in the mouth or gums' base.
Choline salicylate works by blocking the effect of a chemical messenger in your body, known as cyclo‑oxygenase (COX) enzymes that make another chemical 'prostaglandins' (PG). These prostaglandins are produced at injury sites and cause pain and swelling. By blocking the effect of COX enzymes, lesser PGs are produced, which reduces mild to moderate pain and inflammation at the injured or damaged site. Lidocaine blocks the pain signals from the nerves to the brain, thereby helps in decreasing the pain sensations. Together, Healsore Gel 10 gm helps in treating mouth ulcers.
Use Healsore Gel 10 gm as suggested by the doctor. Take a small amount of medicine onto your finger and apply it directly onto the affected area. If Healsore Gel 10 gm comes in contact with eyes, rinse with water immediately. You are advised to use Healsore Gel 10 gm for as long as your doctor has suggested it for you, depending on your medical condition. No common side-effects have been reported with Healsore Gel 10 gm.
To treat your condition effectually, continue using Healsore Gel 10 gm for as long as your doctor has suggested it. Consult your doctor before using Healsore Gel 10 gm if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. Do not use Healsore Gel 10 gm in more than suggested doses or on a large skin area for a longer duration as it may cause adverse effects. Do not use Healsore Gel 10 gm for treating children's mouth ulcers unless suggested by the doctor. Keep your doctor informed about your health condition and all the medicines you are taking before using Healsore Gel 10 gm to rule out any side effects.

Disease/Condition Glossary
Mouth ulcers: Mouth ulcers, also known as canker sores, are small, painful lesions that develop in the mouth or at the base of gums. These can make you uncomfortable while eating, drinking, and talking. Mouth ulcers usually heal within a few weeks and are not contagious. People with a family history of canker sores are at more risk of developing mouth ulcers. Minor mouth injury from dental work or hard brushing, acidic foods, lack of essential vitamins, dental braces, emotional stress, viral, bacterial, or fungal infections could cause developing mouth ulcers.
