Laxopan 170Ml Susp belongs to the group of medicines called laxatives used to treat constipation. Constipation refers to infrequent bowel movements in which the stools are often dry, painful, and hard to pass. 

Laxopan 170Ml Susp is a combination of two laxatives (stool softeners), namely: milk of magnesia (osmotic laxative) and liquid paraffin (lubricant). Milk of magnesia works by drawing water into the intestine through osmosis, while liquid paraffin has lubricant properties that help retain water and fat in the stools. Together, they make the stool soft and slippery making it easier to pass.

You can take Laxopan 170Ml Susp with or without food. Take the prescribed dose/quantity by mouth using the measuring cup provided by the pack, shake the bottle well before each use. Depending on your medical condition, you are advised to take Laxopan 170Ml Susp for as long as your doctor has prescribed it for you. Sometimes, you may experience common side effects such as diarrhoea, abdominal discomfort, pain, or cramps. Most of these side effects do not require medical attention and will resolve gradually over time. However, you are advised to talk to your doctor if you experience these side effects persistently.

• Eat fibre-rich foods such as whole-wheat bread, oatmeal, flaxseed, nuts, beans, lentils, fruits (berries, apples, oranges, bananas, pears), vegetables (vegetables, broccoli, spinach, sweet potatoes, avocados).

• Do not use Laxopan 170Ml Susp for more than 7 days without a doctor's advice.
