About Lexcef LB 200 Tablet 10's

Lexcef LB 200 Tablet 10's belongs to a group of antibiotics used to treat bacterial infections of the ear, nose, sinuses (sinusitis), throat (tonsillitis, pharyngitis), lungs (bronchitis, pneumonia), and urinary system (cystitis and kidney infections). Infectious or harmful bacteria can make you sick and reproduce quickly in your body. These harmful bacteria produce toxins, damaging tissue and making you sick.

Lexcef LB 200 Tablet 10's contains Cefixime (antibiotic) and Lactic Acid Bacillus (beneficial lactic acid-producing bacteria). Cefixime kills the bacterial cell by blocking the chemical (mucopeptides) released by the bacteria's outer layer (cell wall). In turn, Lexcef LB 200 Tablet 10's weakens and destroys the bacterial cell wall. It is a broad range of antibiotics that helps in fighting various types of bacteria. Lactic Acid Bacillus is a beneficial lactic acid-producing bacteria (good bacteria) that supports the growth of friendly bacteria in the intestine, maintaining a healthy balance of microflora in the gut environment. Lactic Acid Bacillus prevents diarrhoea due to a prolonged intake of Lexcef LB 200 Tablet 10's. Thus, together Lexcef LB 200 Tablet 10's helps in the prevention of infections.  Lexcef LB 200 Tablet 10's will not work for colds, flu, or other viral infections.

It is also recommended to complete the course of medicine even if you feel better, as it is an antibiotic. Leaving it in between may lead to severe infection that will stop responding to the antibiotic (antibiotic resistance). Sometimes, you may experience certain common side effects such as nausea, vomiting, indigestion, abdominal pain, and Headache. Most of these side effects do not require medical attention and resolve gradually over time. However, you are advised to talk to your doctor if you experience these side effects persistently.

Before starting Lexcef LB 200 Tablet 10's, please inform your doctor if you have any allergies (against any antibiotic) or kidney or liver problems. Do not take Lexcef LB 200 Tablet 10's on your own, as self-medication may lead to antibiotic resistance in which antibiotics fail to act against specific bacterial infections. As far as it is known, Lexcef LB 200 Tablet 10's may be used in pregnancy. Consideration should be given to discontinuing nursing temporarily during treatment with Lexcef LB 200 Tablet 10's.
