Livoluk Fibre Granules 90 gm belongs to the group of medicines called laxatives used to treat constipation. Livoluk Fibre Granules 90 gm is also used to treat pregnancy-associated constipation, haemorrhoids, anal fissures, diverticular disease, ulcerative colitis, and inflammatory bowel syndrome. Constipation refers to infrequent bowel movements in which the stools are often dry, painful, and hard to pass.

Livoluk Fibre Granules 90 gm is a combination of two medicines: Ispaghula husk and lactulose. Ispaghula husk is a bulk-forming laxative that works by increasing the amount of water in the stool, making the stool softer and more comfortable to pass. Lactulose is a synthetic sugar used to treat constipation broken down in the colon (intestine) into products that absorb water from the body and into the colon. This water softens stools. Besides this, it also reduces the amount of ammonia in the blood of patients with liver disease.

Take Livoluk Fibre Granules 90 gm with or without food. Depending on your medical condition, you are advised to take Livoluk Fibre Granules 90 gm for as long as your doctor has prescribed it for you. In some cases, you may experience certain common side effects such as flatulence (wind), abdominal pain, nausea, and vomiting.
