About Lozivate-3S Ointment 30 gm

Lozivate-3S Ointment 30 gm is a dermatological medication primarily used to treat eczema and psoriasis. Eczema is a skin condition associated with inflamed, itchy, cracked, and rough skin patches. Psoriasis is a skin disease in which skin cells multiply rapidly to form bumpy (uneven) red patches covered with white scales.

Lozivate-3S Ointment 30 gm contains Clobetasol propionate (corticosteroid) and Salicylic acid (peeling agent). Clobetasol propionate is a corticosteroid that blocks the production of prostaglandins (chemical messengers) that make the affected area red, swollen, and itchy. Salicylic acid is a keratolytic medicine (that softens, separates, and causes peeling of the cornified epithelium or horny layer of skin). It increases the amount of moisture in the skin and dissolves the substance that causes the skin cells to stick together.

Your doctor will advise the appropriate use of Lozivate-3S Ointment 30 gm that suits your infection. Common side effects of Lozivate-3S Ointment 30 gm include itching, dryness, and a burning sensation at the application site. These side effects are temporary and gradually resolve over time. If the side effects are persistent, please consult your doctor.

Let your doctor know if you are sensitive to Lozivate-3S Ointment 30 gm or any other medications. Do not use Lozivate-3S Ointment 30 gm on open wounds, blisters, and lesions.
