About Micob SL Tablet
Micob SL Tablet belongs to the class of 'Vitamins', primarily used to treat nutritional deficiencies. It is used to treat and prevent vitamin B6 deficiency, folate deficiency and vitamin B12 deficiency. Micob SL Tablet effectively treats various conditions caused due to lack of vitamins, such as anaemia (lack of red blood cells), peripheral neuropathy (nerve disorder), seizures (fits), hyperoxaluria (excess oxalate levels in urine), homocystinuria (accumulation of an amino acid called homocysteine in urine and blood), cyanide poisoning and hyperhomocysteinemia (high levels of homocysteine in the blood).
Micob SL Tablet contains Folic acid, Pyridoxine Hydrochloride, and Methylcobalamin. Folic acid is the synthetic form of folate. Folate is a water-soluble vitamin naturally found in food sources. It helps in the formation of red blood cells and prevents DNA changes that may lead to cancer. Pyridoxine Hydrochloride (also known as vitamin B6) is a water-soluble vitamin involved in protein, fat, and carbohydrate metabolism and the formation of red blood cells and neurotransmitters. Mecobalamin (Methylcobalamine) is a coenzyme form of vitamin B12 that regulates body functions, such as cell multiplication, blood formation, and protein synthesis.
Your doctor will decide the dosage based on your medical condition. Sometimes, Micob SL Tablet may have common side effects like upset nausea, stomach upset, diarrhoea, drowsiness, flushing, and numbness/tingling. These side effects do not require medical attention and gradually resolve over time.
Let your doctor know if you are using ant other medicines before starting Micob SL Tablet . If you are known to be allergic to Micob SL Tablet or its inactive components, please inform your doctor. Key Benefits
Micob SL Tablet is used to treat nutritional deficiencies and contains Folic acid, Pyridoxine Hydrochloride, and Methylcobalamin. Folic acid is the synthetic form of folate, a water-soluble Vitamin B that prevents and treats folate deficiency and hyperhomocysteinemia. When used with other medications, Folic acid is used to treat pernicious, aplastic, or normocytic anemia (lack of red blood cells). When taken by pregnant women, Folic acid prevents miscarriage and neural tube defects in infants. Pyridoxine Hydrochloride (vitamin B6) is a water-soluble vitamin that treats and prevents vitamin B6 deficiency, anemia, peripheral neuropathy, seizures (fits), and hereditary disorders like hyperoxaluria and homocystinuria. It is involved in protein, fat, and carbohydrate metabolism and the creation of red blood cells and neurotransmitters. It helps in cognitive development through neurotransmitter biosynthesis and maintains normal homocysteine levels (an amino acid in the blood). Methylcobalamin (Mecobalamin) is a coenzyme form of vitamin B12 and treats Vitamin B12 deficiency, cyanide poisoning, and hyperhomocysteinemia. It regulates body functions, such as cell multiplication, blood formation, and protein synthesis.

Micob SL Tablet is a vitamin supplement and consists of Folic acid, Pyridoxine HCl (vitamin B6) and Methylcobalamin (vitamin B12). When you lack these vitamins in your body, which cannot be recovered even with the food sources, Micob SL Tablet helps in normalising these deficient levels. Collectively, Micob SL Tablet treats nutritional deficiencies.
Folate deficiency occurs when your body lacks adequate folic acid/folate levels. You can overcome this deficiency by including food sources rich in folic acid like broccoli, brussels sprouts, leafy green vegetables, cabbage, kale, spring greens, spinach, peas, chickpeas, kidney beans, liver (avoid this during pregnancy) and breakfast cereals fortified with folic acid. If your folic acid levels are still low, your doctor may suggest its supplements.
Pyridoxine in Micob SL Tablet may interfere with laboratory tests like urine test for urobilinogen. Please make sure your doctor and the laboratory staff know that you take Micob SL Tablet before undergoing any blood and urine examinations.
If you miss a dose, take it as soon as you remember. However, if it is time for the next scheduled dose, skip the missed dose and follow your usual dosage.
