Naso B12 Nasal Spray belongs to the class of vitamins primarily used to treat or prevent vitamin B12 deficiency. Vitamin B12 deficiency occurs when the body has lower levels of vitamin B12 than normal. Symptoms include fatigue, breathlessness, numbness, poor balance, and memory problems.

Naso B12 Nasal Spray contains Methylcobalamin, a form of vitamin B12, which helps to protect the nerves from damage and promotes blood cell production. It regulates body functions, such as cell multiplication, blood formation, and protein synthesis.

Naso B12 Nasal Spray must be taken as directed by the healthcare professional or as per leaflet information for maximum benefit. In some cases, Naso B12 Nasal Spray may cause headache, nausea, runny nose, and infections (such as sore throat and the common cold). The majority of these side effects subside over time without the need for medical intervention. However, please see a doctor if the side effects persist or worsen.

Let the doctor know if you are allergic to Methylcobalamin or any other medications. Inform the doctor if you have breathing problems such as a stuffy nose, hay fever or allergic rhinitis, or upper respiratory infection. Consult the doctor if you are pregnant, planning for pregnancy, or are breastfeeding. Keep your doctor informed about your present and past medical history and ongoing medicines to rule out any side effects.

It is also used in the treatment of alcoholic neuropathy, pernicious anaemia (red blood cells are not produced due to Vitamin B12 deficiency), diabetic neuropathy (nerve damage due to high blood sugar levels), and multiple sclerosis (immune system disease affecting the brain).

Notify the doctor if you have ever had an allergic reaction to Methylcobalamin or other medicine or foods. To treat your condition effectually, continue taking Naso B12 Nasal Spray for as long as your doctor has prescribed. Consult the doctor if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. It is not advised to use Naso B12 Nasal Spray in children as safety and efficacy have not been established in paediatric patients. Inform your doctor if you have low potassium levels in the blood, iron or folic acid deficiency, or if you have/had optic nerve damage.

Drug-Drug Interactions: Naso B12 Nasal Spray may interact with certain antibiotic medications (methotrexate, chloramphenicol), and certain antiparasitic agents (pyrimethamine)

Drug-Disease Interactions: Inform your doctor if you have Leber's disease (hereditary optic nerve atrophy), hypokalaemia, malabsorption, and renal impairment.

• Quit smoking and alcohol consumption.

Vitamin B12 deficiency can lead to nervous problems and anaemia. Symptoms include tiredness, breathlessness, headache, pale skin, trouble walking, loss of balance, shaky movements, memory problems, and numbness in the hands, legs, and feet. Low food intake, particularly in vegetarians, is a significant reason; malnutrition and poor absorption due to gastrointestinal causes are other important factors for Vitamin B12 deficiency.
