Nasonase + Sachet 4.5 gm

Nasonase + Sachet belongs to a group of medicines called 'nasal decongestants' used to treat sinonasal disease. The sinonasal disease includes chronic rhinosinusitis (Chronic sinusitis occurs when the spaces inside your nose and head (sinuses) are swollen and inflamed for three months or longer, despite treatment), allergic rhinitis (also known as hay fever, is a type of inflammation in the nose which occurs when the immune system overreacts to allergens in the air), and viral upper respiratory infections (common viral infection that affects the nose, throat, and airways).

Nasonase + Sachet is a combination of two drugs: Sodium bicarbonate and Sodium chloride. Nasonase + Sachet both are sodium salts. Both of the salts work together to provide moisture in the nasal cavity so that the thick mucus softens. This, in turn, helps to clear out the mucus from the nose and relieves the nasal (nose) blockage. This is how it helps in easy breathing and also treats dryness of the nose by providing enough moisture.

In some cases, you may experience certain common side effects such as ear fullness, burning or stinging of the nasal mucosa, epistaxis (bleeding from the nose). Most of these side effects do not require medical attention and will resolve gradually over time. However, you are advised to talk to your doctor if you experience these side effects persistently.

Inform your doctor if you are allergic to Nasonase + Sachet . Nasonase + Sachet is not recommended for diarrhoea, kidney diseases, heart diseases. Nasonase + Sachet should be used with extreme caution in children as the safety and effectiveness in children have not been confirmed. If you become pregnant, contact your doctor. You will need to discuss the benefits and risks of using Nasonase + Sachet while you are pregnant. It is not known if Nasonase + Sachet is found in breast milk. If you are or will be breastfeeding while you use Nasonase + Sachet  check with your doctor. Discuss any possible risks to your baby. Nasonase + Sachet is also used with caution in pregnancy-associated hypertension. Do not touch the tip of the container, as it may get contaminated.

Drug-Drug Interactions: Nasonase + Sachet may have interaction with corticosteroids (prednisolone, dexamethasone), and diuretics (furosemide).

Drug-Food Interactions: Avoid smoking and alcohol it may increase the severity of the infection.

Drug-Disease Interactions: Nasonase + Sachet may have interactions with pregnancy-associated hypertension, and liver disease.

• Use a clean humidifier to keep the air moist in your home.
• Get plenty of rest if you have a cold to reduce your risk for complications, like sinusitis.
• Bathe your nasal passages daily.
• Drink lots of water. 
• Inhale steam.
• Avoid dry environments. 
• Sleep with your head elevated. 
• Avoid dairy if you have had previous episodes of sinus infections.
• Also, try to avoid refined sugar as it is pro-inflammatory and increases the production of mucus.
• Other foods to avoid include tomatoes (contain histamines), chocolate, cheese, gluten, and fruits like bananas, which can cause congestion.

• Do not start, stop, or change the dosage of Nasonase + Sachet suddenly.
• Tell the doctor if you are using other than Nasonase + Sachet .
