About Oris C3 Tablet 10's

Oris C3 Tablet 10's belongs to the group of vitamins and is a Vitamin D metabolite. Oris C3 Tablet 10's is used to strengthen bones and promote bone growth and development by enhancing the content of calcium and vitamin d, essential for bone integrity. Rickets and osteomalacia are bone diseases that happen due to nutritional deficiencies and are characterised by weakened bones and bone deformities. Osteoporosis is a disease that renders bones weak and brittle, prone to easy falls and fractures.

Oris C3 Tablet 10's contains ‘’Calcitriol, Calcium Citrate and Vitamin D3.’’ Calcium is a vital component of bones. Oris C3 Tablet 10's mobilises calcium ion uptake from the intestines, thus increasing calcium stores in the body. Thus, Oris C3 Tablet 10's enhances bones' calcium and mineral content and finds application in preventing and treating diseases that render the bones weak or deformed.

Oris C3 Tablet 10's is available over the counter. It may be taken as a tablet at the same time every day. Oris C3 Tablet 10's may be taken with or without food. It should be swallowed as a whole with some water. Do not chew or crush Oris C3 Tablet 10's. Oris C3 Tablet 10's does not generally cause any side effects. In very rare cases, Oris C3 Tablet 10's may cause side effects such as mild loss of appetite, and feeling sick and tired. Most of these adverse effects do not require medical attention and will resolve gradually over time. However, you are advised to talk to your doctor if these side effects persist.

It is advisable to inform the doctor if you are allergic to Oris C3 Tablet 10's or any of its components. Keep your doctor informed if you have kidney problems, diabetes, phenylketonuria, hypercalcaemia, or have been immobilised for some time. Keep your doctor informed if you have recently had any surgery. Offer a detailed medical history and inform your doctor, especially if you are on steroids, heart medication, epilepsy medications, antibiotics, urine-producing medicines or antacids. Consult your doctor if you are pregnant, planning to get pregnant or if you are breastfeeding before taking Oris C3 Tablet 10's. Avoid consuming alcohol while on treatment with Oris C3 Tablet 10's.

Uses of Oris C3 Tablet 10's

Rickets, Osteomalacia, Hypoparathyroidism, Hypocalcaemia, Post-menopausal osteoporosis, Renal Osteodystrophy

Medicinal Benefits

Oris C3 Tablet 10's is a Vitamin used to treat low calcium levels in the body. It contains Calcitriol, Calcium Citrate and Vitamin D3. It is used primarily in the treatment of bone disease and works by enhancing bones' calcium and mineral content. In addition, Oris C3 Tablet 10's promotes the normal functioning of nerve cells. Calcitriol is an active form of Vitamin D3, which increases the production of carrier proteins responsible for mobilising calcium ions from the gut into the body, replenishing its stores. Calcitriol also activates bone-producing cells (osteoblasts) and reduces urinary loss of calcium from the body. Calcium citrate helps by restoring normal calcium levels in the body, required for the optimal functioning of bones. Hence, Oris C3 Tablet 10's is useful in bone diseases such as rickets, osteomalacia, osteoporosis, renal osteodystrophy (bone deformities seen in patients undergoing dialysis for kidney disease) and endocrine conditions such as hypoparathyroidism, where inadequate parathormone production leads to a decrease in blood calcium.

Directions for Use

Take Oris C3 Tablet 10's exactly as directed by the physician. Oris C3 Tablet 10's should be swallowed as a whole with water. Do not crush, chew or break it. Oris C3 Tablet 10's can be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it with food. Avoid foods containing Vitamin D, such as dairy products with Oris C3 Tablet 10's intake.
