Povirins Mint Mouth Gargle 100 ml is an antiseptic and disinfectant that inhibits the growth of infection-causing microbes. As a small molecule, Iodine in Povirins Mint Mouth Gargle 100 ml can easily penetrate into microorganisms and oxidizes essential proteins, nucleotides, and fatty acids, leading to cell death.

The Povidone-iodine mouthwash/rinse/gargle is for oral use only. Do not swallow it. Please read the instructions leaflet carefully before using it. Your doctor will decide the dose and duration based on your condition.

Povirins Mint Mouth Gargle 100 ml is not recommended for use if you are undergoing any lithium therapy or treatment involving radioactive iodine. Povirins Mint Mouth Gargle 100 ml should not be used before or after radioiodine scintigraphy or radioiodine treatment of thyroid carcinoma. In such conditions, please consult your doctor before using Povirins Mint Mouth Gargle 100 ml.

Povirins Mint Mouth Gargle 100 ml may interfere with thyroid function tests due to iodine absorption. Please inform your doctor before starting Povirins Mint Mouth Gargle 100 ml if you have any history of thyroid problems. Povirins Mint Mouth Gargle 100 ml can also show false-positive lab results, such as tests with toluidine or gum guaiac, to determine haemoglobin or glucose in the stool or the urine.

Povirins Mint Mouth Gargle 100 ml is not meant for long-term usage or routine use. Do not use Povirins Mint Mouth Gargle 100 ml for more than seven days unless advised by a doctor.

Povirins Mint Mouth Gargle 100 ml is intended for treating sore throat and infections associated with mouth and throat. Unlike other over-the-counter mouthwashes, it is not meant for use as a breath freshener.

Povirins Mint Mouth Gargle 100 ml will not stain your teeth. The natural brown colour of Povirins Mint Mouth Gargle 100 ml is due to its component, Povidone iodine. However, it may stain dentures and braces when used during dental treatment.
