Scabiped Lotion 100 ml

Scabiped Lotion belongs to a class of drugs called ' Topical antiseptic' primarily used to treat wounds, cuts, minor burns and protect against infections. In addition to this, it is also used to treat scabies (A contagious, intensely itchy skin condition caused by a tiny, burrowing mite) and pediculosis (A condition in which tiny insects infest the scalp).

Scabiped Lotion contains Cetrimide and Gamma benzene hexachloride(lindane). Cetrimide has antiseptic, anti-bacterial and anti-fungal properties. Cetrimide destroys or damages the cell membranes of bacteria; this eventually results in the death of bacteria. Gamma benzene hexachloride(lindane) works by killing the lice and the eggs and mites of scabies. 

The dose and duration will be prescribed by the doctor depending upon your medical condition. The most common side-effects of Scabiped Lotion are skin rash, burning, itching, and irritation of the skin, tingling, and numbness of the skin, dizziness in some cases. Most of these side effects of Scabiped Lotion do not require medical attention and gradually resolve over time. However, if the side effects persist or worsen, please consult your doctor.

If you are allergic to Scabiped Lotion or any other medicines, please tell your doctor. Scabiped Lotion is for external use only. Avoid contact of Scabiped Lotion with nose, ears, mouth, or eyes. In case Scabiped Lotion comes in contact with these areas accidentally, rinse with water thoroughly. If you are pregnant or a nursing mother, please inform your doctor before taking Scabiped Lotion . Avoid using Scabiped Lotion in large amounts or use for a long time than prescribed as it does not give quick or better results but increase the risk of side effects. Scabiped Lotion is not recommended in seizure patients. Scabiped Lotion is used with caution in neurotoxicity.

• Eat a healthy, well-balanced diet. Include multivitamins, especially B12, folate, zinc, and iron.

Scabies: Scabies is a skin infestation caused by a mite known as the Sarcoptes scabiei. Untreated, these microscopic mites can live on your skin for months. They reproduce on the surface of your skin and then burrow into it and lay eggs. This causes an itchy, red rash to form on the skin.

Pediculosis: Pediculosis is an infestation of the hairy parts of the body or clothing with the eggs, larvae, or adults of lice. The crawling stages of this insect feed on human blood, which can result in severe itching. Head lice are usually located on the scalp, crab lice in the pubic area, and body lice along seams of clothing. Symptoms include itching, visible lice on the scalp, and lice eggs (nits) on the hair shafts.
