Supracal HD Tablet belongs to the group of medicines called nutritional supplements used to treat nutritional deficiencies such as calcium and vitamin D deficiency. Zinc sulphate is necessary for bone-building cells and inhibits the formation of cells that cause the breakdown of bones. Together, Supracal HD Tablet helps in strengthening of bones.
You are advised to take Supracal HD Tablet for as long as your doctor has recommended it for you, depending on your medical condition. In some cases, you may experience certain common side-effects such as stomach upset, constipation, muscle weakness, nausea, and vomiting. Most of these side effects do not require medical attention and will resolve gradually over time. However, you are advised to talk to your doctor if you experience these side effects persistently.

The combined use of calcifediol with cholecalciferol can increase the risk of side effects.

Taking calcium with food may improve absorption. Foods strong in oxalic acid (spinach or rhubarb) or phytic acid (bran and whole grains) may, however, inhibit calcium absorption. Supracal HD Tablet can be taken with levothyroxine if advised by the doctor. Calcium might lower the effectiveness of levothyroxine, therefore, maintain a gap of 4 hours between Supracal HD Tablet and levothyroxine.
