Symbulardi Capsule belongs to the group of medicines called probiotics used to treat and prevent diarrhoea, including rotaviral diarrhoea in children. Symbulardi Capsule may also be used for acne, antibiotic-associated diarrhoea, Clostridium difficile-associated diarrhoea, Helicobacter pylori infection, traveller’s diarrhoea, diarrhoea in people with HIV/AIDS, and necrotising enterocolitis (a serious intestinal disease in premature infants).
 
Symbulardi Capsule contains ‘Saccharomyces boulardii’, a friendly micro-organism that helps fight disease-causing organisms in the gut, such as yeast and bacteria. Thereby, Symbulardi Capsule helps in treating diarrhoea. Symbulardi Capsule helps restore the balance of intestinal bacterial flora and strengthens immunity and overall gut health.
 
You are advised to take Symbulardi Capsule for as long as your doctor has recommended it for you, depending on your medical condition. Symbulardi Capsule is generally safe and does not cause any side effects. Sometimes, it may cause gas, bloating, and constipation. Most of these side effects do not require medical attention and will resolve gradually over time. Talk to your doctor if you experience these side effects persistently.

Do not take Symbulardi Capsule if you are allergic to any of its components. Inform your doctor if you have a weakened immune system, yeast allergy or if you are taking antifungal medicines. Consult your doctor if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. Symbulardi Capsule can be given to children if advised by a doctor.

• Drink plenty of fluids to stay hydrated.
• Include bland foods such as bananas, rice, apples, cream of wheat, soda crackers, farina, applesauce, and toast to avoid aggravating the digestive system.
• Avoid eating foods such as milk, dairy products, spicy foods, processed foods, pork, veal, sardines, raw vegetables, rhubarb, onions, corn, citrus fruits, alcohol, pineapples, cherries, seeded berries, grapes, caffeinated and carbonated drinks. 
• Eat fibre-rich food such as whole grains, lentils, beans, broccoli, and peas.
• Wash your hands thoroughly before eating while preparing or serving food.
