Vofen Gel 50 gm belongs to the class of medicines called Non-Steroidal Anti-Inflammatory Drugs (NSAIDs) used to relieve pain and inflammation associated with musculoskeletal disorders, strain, stiff neck, dislocations, joint pain, lumbago (lower back pain), tendinitis (inflammation of the tendon), and tenosynovitis (inflammation of tendon on the thumb side of the wrist).
Vofen Gel 50 gm contains aceclofenac which works by blocking the effect of a chemical messenger known as cyclo-oxygenase (COX) enzymes that make another chemical prostaglandin.
