Description

Sensodent-KF Medicated Foaming Dental Gel treats dentin hypersensitivity or tooth sensitivity. It rapidly relieves pain and provides protection against tooth sensitivity.

Key Benefits

  • Potassium nitrate, a desensitizing agent, works by calming the nerve fibres in the teeth.
  • Sodium monofluorophosphate, an anticaries agent, prevents dental cavities by preventing tooth decay.
  • The toothpaste also helps block the pain sensation from the tooth surface to the nerve, thus making them irresponsive to external stimuli like hot, cold or sugary drinks, brushing, and scaling.

Directions for Use

Use Sensodent-KF Medicated Foaming Dental Gel instead of your regular toothpaste or as directed by your dentist. Apply an inch of toothpaste on a soft-bristled toothbrush and brush your teeth for at least a minute. Spit out after use and thoroughly rinse your mouth with water. Do not swallow the medication while and after brushing your teeth.

Side effects

Sensodent-KF Medicated Foaming Dental Gel is generally safe to use and does not cause any side effects.

Safety Information

  • Do not swallow the toothpaste. This product is for dental use only.
  • Let your doctor know if you have any allergic reactions to potassium nitrate or mouth problems, such as mouth sores and mucositis (the inflammation and ulceration of the mucous membranes lining the digestive tract).
  • Please inform your doctor if you are pregnant, planning to conceive or breastfeeding.
  • Keep the toothpaste out of reach of children and pets.
  • Store in a cool, dry place, protected from moisture, heat, and direct sunlight.

FAQ

Question: How does the Sensodent-KF Medicated Foaming Dental Gel work?

Answer: Sensodent-KF Medicated Foaming Dental Gel calms the nerve fibres in the teeth and blocks the pain sensation from the tooth surface to the nerve, thus making them irresponsive to the external stimuli that cause tooth sensitivity. It also prevents cavity formation and gum inflammation.

Question: What is dentinal hypersensitivity?

Answer: Dentinal hypersensitivity is characterized by a short and sharp pain caused when the dentin (a part of the tooth under the enamel) is exposed to external stimuli like hot, cold or sugary drinks, brushing, and scaling.

Question: How can I relieve my tooth sensitivity?

Answer: Reduce the intake of acidic foods and drinks that can wear down your enamel and cause sensitivity. Avoid hard brushing since it may lead to enamel loss and expose the tooth's inner layer, leading to sensitivity. Try using a soft-bristled toothbrush and brush your teeth with gentle strokes.
