Diginice Tablet belongs to a class of medicine called 'digestive enzymes' or 'pancreatic enzyme supplement' prescribed to treat indigestion, bloating, and pancreatic insufficiency (pancreatin enzyme deficiency). Diginice Tablet is a combination of two drugs: Pancreatin (digestive enzyme) and Dimethicone (anti-flatulent). Diginice Tablet contains Pancreatin which is a digestive enzyme that helps in the digestion of food. Pancreatin contains ‘pancreatin enzymes’ breakdown food and converts it into energy. On the other hand, Dimethicone works by decreasing the surface tension of gas bubbles, thereby facilitates the expulsion of gas through flatus or belching (burping). It also prevents the accumulation and formation of gas in the digestive tract.
Diginice Tablet might interfere with the absorption and reduce the effectiveness of folic acid and iron. To prevent this, maintain a minimum gap between both.
Yes, the use of Diginice Tablet can lead to diarrhoea. In the case of diarrhoea, drink plenty of water or other fluids by taking small regular sips. Also, avoid taking fried or fatty foods along with this Diginice Tablet . Consult your doctor if diarrhoea continues and you notice signs of dehydration, like less urination with strong-smelling and dark coloured urine.
