Florofil-SB Capsule belongs to the group of medicines called probiotics used to treat and prevent diarrhoea, including rotaviral diarrhoea in children. Florofil-SB Capsule contains ‘Saccharomyces boulardii’, a friendly micro-organism that helps fight disease-causing organisms in the gut, such as yeast and bacteria. Thereby, Florofil-SB Capsule helps in treating diarrhoea. Florofil-SB Capsule may also be used for acne, antibiotic-associated diarrhoea, Clostridium difficile-associated diarrhoea, Helicobacter pylori infection, traveller’s diarrhoea, diarrhoea in people with HIV/AIDS, and necrotising enterocolitis (a serious intestinal disease in premature infants).
Florofil-SB Capsule helps in fighting disease-causing organisms in the gut, such as bacteria. Thus, it helps in treating diarrhoea.
To treat your condition effectually, continue taking Florofil-SB Capsule for as long as advised. Do not be reluctant to speak with your doctor if you experience any difficulty while taking Florofil-SB Capsule .
Florofil-SB Capsule is yeast (fungus). Therefore, taking Florofil-SB Capsule with anti-fungal medicines might decrease the effectiveness of Florofil-SB Capsule . Consult your doctor if you have any concerns regarding this.
Do not take Florofil-SB Capsule for longer durations unless advised by the doctor. Also, avoid exceeding the indicated dose of Florofil-SB Capsule without the doctor’s advice. Talk to your doctor if the condition recurs or there is no symptomatic improvement.
Florofil-SB Capsule can be taken with antibiotics if advised by the doctor. However, you are advised to maintain a gap of 2 hours between Florofil-SB Capsule and antibiotics.
