Jupiloc Tablet works by blocking liver enzymes, causing the liver to make less cholesterol. So, Jupiloc Tablet increases the uptake and breakdown by the liver of cholesterol already in the blood. Thus, Jupiloc Tablet lowers the levels of lipids known as cholesterol and triglycerides in the blood when lifestyle changes (like a low-fat diet) on their own have failed.

If I feel better, can I stop taking Jupiloc Tablet ?

Before starting dose of Jupiloc Tablet tell your doctor if you have liver/kidney problems, under active thyroid (hypothyroidism), are pregnant or breastfeeding, diabetes, severe lung disease, blood in urine (haematuria) and protein in urine (proteinuria) or musculoskeletal disorder (like myopathy and rhabdomyolysis). You should avoid taking Jupiloc Tablet with immune system affecting medicine (cyclosporine) or anti HIV medicines (lopinavir, ritonavir, or atazanavir) as it might have serious effect.

Can I take Jupiloc Tablet along with fusidic acid (an antibiotic)?

Usually, it is not safe to take Jupiloc Tablet with fusidic acid as it may lead to muscle weakness, tenderness or pain. Please consult your doctor before taking Jupiloc Tablet along with fusidic acid.
