Kapiket OF Eye Drop contains Ofloxacin (antibiotic) and Ketorolac (NSAID). Ofloxacin is a broad-spectrum antibiotic and effective against many common infections causing bacterial pathogens. It is active against both gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria. Ketorolac can effectively treat ocular allergy and control inflammation in postoperative patients. Together, Kapiket OF Eye Drop can effectively treat bacterial eye infections.
Kapiket OF Eye Drop is a combination of two medicines: Ofloxacin and Ketorolac. Ofloxacin is an antibiotic and stops the growth of bacteria that is causing the infection. Ketorolac is a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) that reduces eye discomfort and the risk of eye infections.
Kapiket OF Eye Drop starts working within a few hours after using this medicine. However, you should complete the course of therapy as prescribed by the doctor.
The common side-effects of Kapiket OF Eye Drop are eye pain, redness, burning or stinging sensation, watery eyes and blurred vision. These side-effects are usually mild and temporary. However, if any of these side-effects persist, consult your doctor immediately.
Do not wear contact lenses while using Kapiket OF Eye Drop and also if you have any eye problems as use of contact lenses may worsen the condition.
Kapiket OF Eye Drop is recommended for use in the eye only. It is not recommended for treating ear problems.
