Paradom 10mg/325mg Tablet is a combination of two drugs namely; Domperidone and Paracetamol used to treat the vomiting and pain in people with migraines. Domperidone belongs to a class of prokinetic agents that prevents nausea and vomiting symptoms by blocking certain receptors (like dopamine and serotonin) that stimulate the vomiting center (chemoreceptor trigger zone –CTZ) located in the brain. It also acts as a prokinetic agent that increases the upper gastrointestinal tract's motility and helps in decreasing the stomach emptying time. Paracetamol is an NSAID that works by blocking the effect of a chemical messenger in your body, known as cyclo-oxygenase (COX) enzymes that make another chemical ‘prostaglandins’(PG). These prostaglandins are produced at injury sites and cause pain and swelling.
