Virset G 0.15% Ophthalmic Gel treats viral infection of the eye caused by the herpes simplex virus. It consists of Gancyclovir, an antiviral drug that works by killing and stopping the growth of the herpes simplex virus on the cornea.

It is advised to remove your contact lens while using Virset G 0.15% Ophthalmic Gel. Also, remember to wash your hands before and after using the medication to avoid contamination.
If you use other eye formulations along with Virset G 0.15% Ophthalmic Gel, it is advised to maintain a gap of at least 5-10 minutes between each administration. Also, use eye drops before applying any eye ointments.
Avoid the contact of the dropper or tip with fingers, eyes, and eyelids when using Virset G 0.15% Ophthalmic Gel. Topical eye products, when contaminated by patients with eye diseases, bacterial keratitis (an infection of the cornea) and ocular infections (eye infections) may occur, which result in vision loss.
